Question Miami TA's Gotta Question For You!

So I might be buying a house in the Miami area. Just want to know the advantages and disadvantages of living in Miami? Thanks

Advantages: You know what they are

Disadvanatges: Summers are a bitch; hurricanes, humidity. Traffic is becoming worse by the day. If you don't speak/understand spanish, good luck to you.

advantages - some very nice areas, that u need money to live in.

disadvantages - a lot of shithole places and people, the traffik and heat.

advantages: a lot to do and beaches!!
disadvantages: humidity+heat combined, TRAFFIC, and rude people.

it grows on you though...I've been here so damn long that I am accustomed to it.

If I were you.. Id look in the North East of Miami ( Miami Lakes, Sunny Isles, Aventura .. bla bla bla .. ) Pretty nice area with pretty much everything within 5 mins away from you.

Other would be Broward County.. thats a good place to settle in, if you want even better.. West Palm Beach, but that would have you far away from everything..

But if you still want Miami.. it all depends what area of Miami you are talking about.. is pretty big and it can have drastic changes in every sense of the word. One thing you wont escape though is.. Storms, Heat, TRAFFIC. A bitch,

i live on south beach, its expensive as fuck, but well worth it. its so nice only having to walk 3-5 blocks to get to all the best clubs in miami (excpet space). parking does suck my asshole dry though. on the weekends or holidays, forget about it. you might have to park like 10 blocks away from your house, just cuz theres no parking.

thats why its convenient to have a mo-ped scooter in south beach. u dont have to worry so much about traffik, and im sure there are plenty of places to park those small vehicles. everyone, it seems like has one.

any and everyone that has one of those things is queer. they are annoying as fuck and everytime i see one i just wanna knock the person off it.

most people that drive those things are stupid tourists who have nothing better to do with their time.

south beach isnt big. you can walk anywhere. miami is huge though, and a scooter isnt enough to get you around.

and why are you posting in this thread? dont you live in tampa or some shit?

yea, but ive been in miami so many times, ive lost count. 75% of my family lives there, so yea, long 4-5 hour drives used to be the norm. not so much recently.

felipe, miami lakes is northwest miami sir

if your looking to live in south beach ask south beach residents on whats good or not... you can use this site to help you find apartments, roommates and such, its miami locals only: http://miami.craigslist.org/hhh/

if you want to live in the northwest miami, southwest broward area, then i can help.

i dont know why people complain about the heat so much! they have lived here their whole lives you think they would get used to it! hahaha but yea everyone bitches about the heat and rain... its better than snowstorms and negative degree weather though!

Yea is true.. Miami lakes is northwest .. still just mins from the N.E section ( sort of heh ).. as for which place I would choose.. mmmmm SoBe is very trendy and all that, you are just a short distance from Hip stuff.. Lincoln Road and the Washington, Ocean drive and .. the clubs, though there's like 2 clubs worth going heh.. I would choose Bal Harbour, thats just me.. residential area, nice and chill, great private beach, and just mins away from SoBe, Malls and both Ft. Lauderdale and Downtown Mia.

Word Bal Harbour is the most likely place. I have 2 cars so it would be hard to park in South Beach. Man you guys are really helpful thanks so much lol. Cant wait to live down there although the huricanes and shit scare me lol but I think it would be cool to experience that maybe.....
