Satan (eek!) football manager 2006

link: http://www.sigames.com/softography.php?type=view&id=20

quote:
One of the many fan-inspired features to make it into FM 2006 will be that, for the first time, managers will be able to negotiate with their board of directors - not only for a better contract for themselves, but also for improved player wage budgets and increased transfer budgets or even stadium expansion. Be aware though, if you push too hard and don't reach the heights that the board specify, you'll soon be looking for a new job.

Half-time team talks add the ability to tell your players individually or collectively exactly what you thought of their first half performance, via the tactics screen. Will you be able to keep your players motivated, or will you cause a collapse in the second half?

Another welcome feature is the ability to manage players on a personal level. Unhappy players can cause huge morale problems for the whole squad and result in bad performances, so the new Player Interaction feature will help you to manage your team more closely.

A completely revamped training module simplifies training schedules and players' training progress, with your coaches becoming far more important members of backroom staff. New media items and expansion of the media module have been implemented, including but not limited to, cup draw news and man of the match news.

Want to know how many yellow cards the ref looking after your Saturday match has given in the last few matches? Now you can, with referee profiles and league tables, which add an extra element to tactics of the game. Maybe hard tackling is not a good idea for this Saturday's match!

Also adding an extra tactical element to FM 2006, the player positions feature has been taken one step further. A player position indicator will not only show you the best positions for your player and where to play on the pitch, it will also show player preferred moves for those players in your team. As well as this, the Player Positions display format has been upgraded, making it easier for the manger to pick the team.

MORE FEATURES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!

With all-new features, vastly improved gameplay and a heritage of unquestionable quality, Football Manager 2006 offers an unrivalled management simulation experience.

Football Manager 2006 will be released on both PC and Mac in Winter 2005

can't wait....

Ever tried to manage a lower league side and find that you can't sign enough players to even make up the squad for the season? Well, now you can, by offering the "virtual" players contracts, and letting them live their virtual dreams of becoming professional footballers.

* Injury module revamp - No more "physio reports" needed after injuries as the physio's now come to you. Full feedback on injuries, including various treatment options.

* General UI improvements - Improvements to the user interface make it easier to find your way around the game and reduce the amount of mouse button clicks.

* Ticker Bar - Not only can you gain score updates during matches but a configurable news ticker bar updates you on news from around the globe, or just locally if you prefer.

* Media overhaul - Loads more information is now given through news items using an all new "player bio" system, this is inclusive of, but not limited to, club landmark year news, better feedback on your start as a manager, more celebration of success and much more info about players in media items.

* Full Time Team Talks - With the addition of Half Time team talks to Football Manager 2006 , Sports Interactive felt it only fair to add full time team talks to allow you to comment on team or individual performances at the end of the match to the players. How will they react?

Do you know when Total Club Manager 06 will be released?

Posted by noikeee on Sep-14-2005 14:03:

beta demo is out, has some very good new features even if it's very far from a revolution.

i'm only pissed off about one thing, i'll copy what i posted on the SI forums:

quote:
The only thing I'm really disappointed is in the way money seems to still not make a difference at all to players. Magne Hoseth was getting 6K euros per month at Valerenga, I offer him 150K per month at Fulham, he refuses. A similar thing happend to another player. Also, something really weird happens with a certain belgian left back from Monchengladbach i think, he's worth 1.2 million euros but transfer listed for 7 thousand! Bought him for Fulham, he's been excellent so far. It seems like this module (transfers and contracts) is still completely unbalanced.

this is annoying, not to mention the problems with manager/club reputations FM2005 had, hopefully that was fixed

manager reputation = grown too quickly, and there was a bug that gave you world class reputation just for winning the english championship (2nd level, right below the premiership)

club reputation = grown too slowly except for the bigger leagues (england, italy, spain), you could win several champions leagues in a row and the top players still wouldn't want to come to play for you, if you were managing a small club. there was also other issues with clubs that grown: a bug with wages made you pay ridiculous huge money to players for no reason, and there was another bug with assistant managers, coaches and the board all under-rating every player and often giving you too few for new signings' wages thinking they would be crap

so yeah, those problems. of course if you just played with Inter none of this would come up..

I went 20 years into the game with Inter, 15 with Basel and 13 with River, Arsenal, Spezia and Oldham.

My manager reputation would only be world class if I won the everything possible twice in my game for Inter, Arsenal and Basel. My reputation for Spezia and Oldham never got real good until I made the top division and champions league status.

Bugs for assistants I could see I could never resign any of them after year 3....

Im gonna start with Porto right now and get them relegated in your honour!

I LOVE YOU PARANOIK

Posted by noikeee on Oct-30-2005 15:45:

Been playing a lot, but must say I'm starting to get really fed up of all the bugs... when my list of things that should be improved quickly is this big there's seriously something wrong:

quote:
1. Non-EU players in Portugal bug fixed
2. Random unregistering of players in Portugal and Spain bug fixed
3. Decent players being relegated to the B teams in Portugal, Spain and Brazil bug fixed
4. Too high manager reputation bug fixed
5. Grey players in basic leagues bug fixed
6. Substitutions making commentary go all over again bug fixed
7. World cup awards not being given bug fixed
8. Something toned down in tactics so that people don't get last place with Arsenal with decent tactics
9. Morale influence in players' perfomance slightly toned down
10. Team talks influence slightly toned down
11. Strikers getting less goals
12. High goalscoring games toned down
13. Regen centre-backs being as good in jumping as the original centre-backs
14. Headers overall slightly less accurate
15. Throw-ins shouldn't go to the opposition so often
16. The possession stat should actually mean something and move out of the 60-40% range at times
17. AI managers should adapt their tactics a bit more to their players
18. Strikers shouldn't move out to the wings so often unless told to
19. Players should generally obey more to their tactical instuctions
20. Bug with players standing still letting the opposition player which is way more far from the ball getting it fixed
