Its flippin sweet when my stuff gets heard by you savvy fellas.

Good intro apart from that extremely fast panning.

The lead doesnt sound that powerful until it comes in the second time around 4:18.

The track seems like it needs something else and i reckon a vocal would suit this track perfectly.

Overall a good track. Keep it up

i really dig the bassline

Posted by Kthought on Jun-04-2005 17:28:

I suppose i should let you guys know what i'm using as well...

Reason 2.5 +
Sound Forge

starting to feel limited by reason, especially if i DID want to do vocals... Oh Well!

Ill mix up the lead just a smidge... but its very resonant so i have to be careful with that.

Thanks for the feedback!

Really?

Haha, just playing you. Listening to your track now.
Nice phaser/panning fx there. Original style.
Not sure about the melodies in the buildup. Not my style really.
Lead sounds distant and flat. Supposed to? Give it more presence with proper EQ-ing.
I would fade out those hihats on the end just to help out the DJ and make some action in the ending.

Haha, Thanks for the input:

I was self taught and independent right up until 2 weeks ago, when i started taking advice... For 5 years though i've relied on noone to gain skills. So i can still claim that Self Taught Business!

Thanks Again. - Mastering is an art, could take days.

Ill expedite the proper outro too! something i always overlooked when im excited to compile the track.

Thanks!

Nice track.

Smooth buildup and drop. I think the main melody could be offset slightly to give it better groove though. Imaginative use of fx and nice synth programming all round.

The main lead synth sounds a tad thin like it should be a supersaw or something but its falling a bit short. Maybe double it up and have one without so much delay on it and eq it a bit lower. That might fill it up a bit more.

You got a very clear sound going, geeze... I'm constantly surprised with what people can do with reason these days.

Arright,

As Of now, i'll be completely overhauling the lead.

Your feedback is GREATLY appreciated ! !
Stay tuned.

Cool sounds in the intro.

Woo for the gating.

That whooshing thing at 2:04 is really cool in how it seems to come from behind.

Good melody and stuff. I like it a lot. Great atmosphere.

Woo For Gating Indeed.

BY POPULAR DEMAND:

Lead Overhauled, Re-melodied (wait for main body)

Man i'm loving this song. cant stop working on it!

The beginning sounds a bit like Yahel's earlier tracks.

Great overall track.
With mastering, this song would be fulfill!

It's funny, I've been thinking of making a tune with this title too. I guess The Da Vinci-Code IS a great book after all :S Not that I ever doubted.

Anyways, I like this tune. Especially the melody and lead is almost incredible. "Almost" because it's not like it's mozart ;D. And I like just about everything else in this piece. Only thing I don't like is the kick. It's too... weak or something. It got too much of that "wet" feeling I think. I can't hear anything else to whine about so, congratz, very good tune. Keep it up ;D

EDIT:
Been listening to it quite a few times now, and maaan ;D This is one of the best tunes I've heard here Work more on this track and I think you will do some decent money on it. And keep it up!

And again I bring up Reason. The way it's summation mixer functions, and even the new mastering suite plug-ins simply don't cut it for me. I still use it, and love it to death.

But I would start rewireing your neat Reason stuff Into Acid Pro 5, if you can buy/steal a copy.

That is what I do right now. And ACID does a much better job summing things together, and when you add some good VST mastering plug-ins you can get a great sound. Even if your track isn't so great it (points at himself)

Overall this track is really good. In fact. I like it.

Realize that Reason has it's limits. I am too lazy at the moment to learn Cubase or other "pro" software, and Reason and Acid are familiar enough and professional enough that they work well together. My latest song has been flowing great.

Keep it up man! I dig it.

Adam
