Rasta Has anyone heard Pete Tong do a live set?

Its getting to closer to the time. The time when I hear Mr Tong either pumping out some major fecking tunes or pumping out the greatest pile of pish that I could imagine.

Anyone heard him live and want to comment on what I should expect?

Just how many Tazs does it take to make you see things in a funny way?

Tong is pretty housey but I hear he's great...he's been a DJ for over 10 yrs.

The only set I've heard from him was the EM from the Gallery Turnmills w/ PvD back in 99...I wasn't there but he sounds like he knows how to pump out the tunes.

He does Essential Mixes all the time. I happened to hear him about two weeks ago, since he was opening for Dave Seaman - it was anthem-y, but really hard at times and suprisingly good.... (Well, at least alright...)

Not crap like I had expected.

Caught bits and pieces of him at Gatecrasher summer soundsystem the start and end about 30 mins of him overall wasn't really too impressed, he's overated but thats my point of view his shows bad but sometimes he tests out some trancey records but most of its funky house and prog, but some of the progressive house he plays is ok, but I suppose I just don't rate him as much as the rest of the people on this island.

i saw him this year at the WMC (winter music conference) here in Miami.... he spun a completely-trance set (maybe 1 prog. house record)..... and he did pretty damn good. but then again, that was march and that was one set. I'd see him again though, as long as he didnt spin house..... but i do think he sticks to house now

Rob. Tong set @ Ultra3 sucked. NO hard feelings. I have the video of it if you want.

Many Greetings,

Yeah he's probably one of the more well-known DJ's over here because of all the stuff he does with Radio One. HE's not exactly known for his uplifting trance sets, but he's been in the business for a very long time, he knows how to play to the crowd.

I can now judge for myself. Saw/heard Tong on the decks last night in shine. Can i just say that he was fecking lethal. the whole place was going ape-shit.

Just one bad thing - you cant make out his autograph at all.

No NO NO!!! NOT at ultra!!! i never said ultra... i said at the WMC (which is the event that goes on all week. He spun at Space one weeknight - also there was Hernan Cataneo, Edgar V, and i think one other.....) He did a trance set and it rocked.... i didn't hear the Ultra set he did, although i heard it sucked too.

BTW - i want to get my hands on some of these "videos" you have....
