[Breaks/Progressive Breaks] Krimes - Creation (full 192k track) [Improved Version]

Hey guys,

Another track from me here and I feel it is by far my best production thus far. I've used a couple of samples from one of my other tracks 'That Time' as it was only short and felt they could be used again. I'm quite pleased with the result of this track and would really appreciate some feedback on how it sounds. Direct download below (right click and save target as)

Krimes - Creation (192k) 6:54 < now an improved version

Thanks in advance.

The snare has too much reverb.
You should add more elements to this track.
Add more precs and your over-doing the beat stops.
Nice flute.
Good fx.

3/5

Thanks for the review mate, will take them ideas into consideration.

I've had a re-listen and a look through my track and I don't really see a problem with the beat-stops as they are a vital part of the breakbeat. Would not work otherwise. I've always opted for the snare reverb to link in with the reverb on the breaks.

Thanks again for the review.

Would love some more to get a real good evaluation of it

It destroys the tracks flow.
Once or twice is enough to get the point.
Like after you stop the beat you can add a tiny 303 fxes.
The reverb is just too much and it takes up to much space.
You should have more elements anyway.

Man,
This is totally awesome, the drums are fucking cool, maybe I would reduce the delay on them, the bass, distorted sounds are great placed. Honestly I am saving this one, loved the funky feeling, u have improved a lot mate .
Kopi =o.

The Drow: I really can't take away the beat stops if i want it as a breaks track but I do realise the reverb problem. Thanks.

Kopi: Cheers for the review glad you like it, will be working on the reverb and post it back on here for you to enjoy some more.

ok now the reverb is too low, but thats just personal taste
the beat stops sounds much better.
cool

Cheers guys, pretty pleased with the piece as a whole now.

Could be a bit low yeah but the beats are more clear which I'm happy about.

Thanks

Nice track mate, very dirty and atmospheric, flows and rolls nicely. I like the change at the 2:30 mark, its well placed and then following that is the synth you used in your 'that time' track which also fits good along with the bass hum. Drums sound crisp, I think the reverb level is just right, adds very nicely to the atmosphere. Good job!

Although I might have to agree with The Drow about the beat-stops. I think adding a long drawn out cymbal when you stop the breaks each time will help keep it smooth, its a bit too jerky if you know what I mean?

Anyway liking it alot mate, have you pretty much finished it?

Your getting more attention and feedback for your tunes than me, Im jealous

Thanks a lot mate!

Yeah I can see what you mean with the beat-stops, may have a little fiddle with it in the near future but got yet another track to put on here very soon lol. I've been quite busy lately.

Glad you like the track

Hehe, may mean the breaks tracks get more attention around here though.

sounds really empty, needs a harder kick
needs a vocal effect in there somewhere
the instrument thats comes in on 3:52 needs to fuck off as well
otherwise alright

Cheers for the review there , may well experiment with them ideas to produce a different version some time. Think the instrument is personal preference though.
