DJ Rankin

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but this "DJ" has been going about for a while now in Scotland, some of you may well have downloaded his "tunes" from Kazaa or Limewire. Found his website - www.djrankin.co.uk - and it says he is supporting Akon along with Special D.

I stay in a wee town around 30 miles from Glasgow and he DJed here, find it a wee bit hard to believe that a few months later, he is supporting a number 1 artist.

Anyone every heard of him? Personally I think he is crap and a disgrace to all the good DJs out there (dont know how he can call himself a DJ) Im sure everyone else will have the same opinion.

I wasnt actually promoting him, i think he is shite aswell. I only mentione limewire and kazaa as that is the only way to listen, I mean, laugh at his original tunes with the "dj rankin in the mix muthaf*cka"

The stuf I have heard he does sort of, have heard the Abel Ramos - One More and 6.6.6. - The Devil vocals put over a beat and then passes it off as his own tunes.

innit!! the guys a wee dick. apparantly hes releasing an album??? only place he could possibly relase an album is down the barras, beacuse all he does is steal other people tunes and mash them up for all the mad stabbers out there. its bucky-music, nothing more.

Perhaps you should have worded it a bit more strongly. Saying DJ Rankin is "he is crap and a disgrace to all the good DJs out there" doesn't do justice to how absolute shit this idiot is! But come to think of it, I don't believe there are any words in the English language which describe strongly enough how much I hate this shit.

why start a thread about him then?.

By slating him you anf starting threads you are infact doing the opposite and giving him some publicity.

His music is cheap and he can't beatmatch putting out of time Accapellas over someone elses tunes.

Ive heard of him and i got told he was shit and cant beatmatch and i downloaded one of his mixes it was like put together by a 3 year old but i think again a 3 year old can mix better than him, there was a story going round that he has albums waiting to be sold at virgins and hmv, hmmmmm
