Dunno Party resorts in South America

All of the sudden I'm having hard time finding information for this...but let's just say I'm thinking of heading down south for a week of insanity down south at the end of August...

What are the best resorts/locations?

I just want to party, get hammered, let loose, and etc...any TOTA suggestions?

I don't want families and little kids everywhwere - preferably people my age (20's) all inclusive of course

Good question... but I'm planning to go at Christmas time.

Someone told me Sao Paulo was pretty cool, like Rio but better (the person who told me this was brazilian).. and im sure Jayx could recomend you some cool places in chile too!

probably not that much north americans there tho if that was what you were looking for... but local parties are usually a lot better than the touristy places, thats my experience at least

Rio is the best place to go in Brazil. Chile if I ever went its just to go to Easter Island.

It's all about Punta Del Este Uruguay, Pinamar Argentina, and Mar Del Plata Argentina.

And the best part is that you WILL find amazing parties in these places with trance/house/techno music.

No American girls though... who needs them when you have sexy argentine women crawling all over you?

Salvador and Bahia Brazil is apparently the party capital.

Hahaha...well I'm not specifically looking for Americans...it was just a saying - Drunken American girls do stoopid shit I was just saying I need drunken party people...

Basically I know I can find it in Cancun BUT...I want a resort like that - the actual hotel you know...I don't want to get stuck in some resort with all families and little kids running around. Not that I have anything against little kids but you know

Cancun is not in South America. It's in North America. If what you are looking for is an average gringo resort then the basic canadian favourites of cancun and acupulco are what you want. If you want more of an adventure then go to south america.

Hehehe well you will do well in Mexico. Most other places in the carribean are all about couples. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Jamaica can be good but there is lots of crime to worry about there.

Help me understand: Why would you go to some 3rd world country to party?

Look what happened to Lawler. 3rd world country: Lawler gets held up by gauchos. Toronto: Lawler plays 6am to 10am at skybar.

POLICE BOSS IN LAWLESS TOWN A CASUALTY OF MEXICO'S CONTINUING DRUG WAR

By AP

Alejandro Dominguez was the only person brave enough to apply for the job of police chief in Mexico's lawless border city of Nuevo Laredo.

He took office Wednesday afternoon, declaring he wasn't afraid of anything. Shortly after nightfall, he was dead, gunned down by assailants in this city on the front line of a turf battle between Mexico's two main drug gangs.

Early Thursday, most city officials channelled all questions to Mayor Daniel Pena, who was holding private meetings and hadn't made a public appearance.

Councilman Joaquim Trevino called on President Vicente Fox to do more, two months after the federal government sent in 700 soldiers and federal agents. "The reality is that there isn't anyone who wants this job," he said.

Only a few people ventured out into the streets, and a handful of federal authorities made routine patrols.

A spokesman at the federal Attorney General's Office refused to say if his office planned to take additional measures.

On Thursday, most residents hadn't even heard of the killing, and those who had weren't surprised. Since January, more than 60 people have been killed in Nuevo Laredo.

Have you ever been down there?

So lawler had a bad experience at some random bar? So what. Mexico is a big country. Thats like telling someone that Canadian clubs are all sketchy because they went to system on a thursday night! LOL Ive been to all kinds of places and had nothing but an amazing time. Places like that are way freer and much more fun than "stand around and pose" toronto.

Dont knock other places until you experience it first hand. Id move down south if i could make a living there. And one day i just might

Unfortunatly Johnny It is NOT suprising that Americans do not travel much outside the USA.

The reason for this is they are not like very much anywhere else by anyone. Not in Europe and Definatly not in South America.

Posted by Jayx1 on Jun-10-2005 17:58:

Americans dont go anywhere else because places like mexico kiss their ass by basically recreating what happens at home with a few palm trees thrown in.

Real Mexicans dont listen to hip crap music at clubs.
