modulating several times [ as in climbing key from C to D to E ] - '92?
This track had some hit-value
in The Netherlands around 1992.
Lots of horns, and the distinctive use
of changing it's key, in a climax way.
Like a canon.
In music this is called 'modulation',
but around electronic music there
are other things called modulation too.
Tune was very dancy and swingy.
Around 90-105 BPM.
It appeared on several semi-commercial
compilation CD's -- one together with
either Moby (rain falls, sky shudders),
or NRG (Need your Lovin', like the sunshine).
I believe the producer was a Dutch fellow
with also some name as a club DJ or
radio DJ. Perhaps Marcello, Paul van Dyke,
DJ Remie, ..., possibly with a co-producer.
The use of modulation is the main
identity feature; I know of no other
techno/trance/house track using this
traditional composition trick so proudly.
Tristan
Salegon
Maybe it's the same tune I'm looking for...
There's also a unusual sound integrated just in the beginning... maybe it's kind of a pitched horn sound.
AIDA commercial tune
Do you have a sample of it?
I am merely relying on my memory.
If you have a clip we can post it,
and I can listen to it to see if
it matches what's in my head.
yepp, matches to brighten up your unsolved mystery
I wish I had a sample or a video clip of my tune...
all I know in order to identify the song is posted above in the link to my thread. I tried to contact the German TV station by email some weeks ago but didn't receive any answer until now.
Junkfood Junkies - "Funky Horn"
this one has got horns in it but i guess it's not the one u're looking for. It's not the one I'm looking for, too. The "horn" sound my tune mainly consists of is rather "spacy", the song itself more funky, groovy and melodic.
btw this tune is listed in the "unknown tracks" section of this board.
