question about remixing songs

hey i'm just wondering how to take vocal lyrics out of songs without having the original beat in the backround, so i can be able to remix them. is there a special software or program that does that or any equipment out there that is good for doin that...cause i know theres a way you can do it, but its so hard to find out how to....if anybody knows and can help me out please let me know...thanks for your help

best way to do it cause making your own 99% of the time sucks
