+1 on the counting crows "color blind"

my favorite sad song is definitely pearl jam "Black"

almost makes me cry every time i hear it...it's just the way he sings it in the end...it's like you can really feel his pain when he wrote it. it's a great "feel sorry for yourself after a break up" song. lol

I like the original NIN version.

The sadest song ever was that Sinead O'Connor song Nothing Compares 2 U

Stained, Opeth & A perfect Circle create some depressing tunes.

Oh hell yeah i forgot that one.

A classical piece of music always gets me upset. Its called "Nimrod" usually played on rememberance Sunday and it was also played at my uncles funeral as he was a soldier...It sends chills down my spine.

One of the few Delerium songs I haven't heard, it's on the Poem bonus disc. Gotta give Leeb the credit, though

http://www.delerium.com/disco/p/poeminfo.html

Kirsty Hawkshaw has a good voice... unfortunately, I felt the other song she contribbed to in the Poem project, Nature's Kingdom, was a bit of a dud (not so much so as "Touched" off of Chimera, which neither Leeb nor Fulber had a damn thing to do with), but that was more Leeb's fault than Kirsty's
