Well done mate I should get round to it sometime soon... I must be the only person in the country who's 22 and never taken a lesson!

GReat job!!.. but how old are you btw.. here in holland we need to be 18 to take lessons for the exam etc.. but in the US it's 16 ..

Cool

Nice 1, I've got 2 more years to go now, coz this Christmas time they're bumping up the age limit to be able to drive to 18 to bring the UK in line with Europe, that really suckz 4 me

Talking

I love to drive with my bangin choons blasting. I love it. I have my full licence, the G or general class. Ontario has a graduated licensing system, thank god, i've finished it. I encourage all of you TA's out there to get a driving license and a car with a decent system and go represent by blasting trance choons and mixes everywhere.

Regards
THe Happy Driver

Two more years till it expires!

honestly, i think all countries should have an age restriction at 18... 16 yr olds are too young to own a drivers licence...

Posted by Sunlounger on Dec-03-2001 18:18:

i got my permit when i was 15 and half
got my license when i was 16.......and i am almost 18 now
OKay, age aint nutttin but a #, it all depends on your MATURITY... you can be 30 yeras old and be the worst driver in the world....hehehe

It's an interesting issue. You're allowed to operate a vehicle which is capable of killing at the age of 16, yet you have to wait another 3 years to consume a beverage with alcohol in it. Depends on how you look at it.

well here in holland you are allowed to drink a beer when you're 16, and tequila and stuff when your 18.. and going up for your drivers licence also is when you're 18.. i don't understand why in america you have to be 21 to drink alcohol (could someone clearify this one..)!! how old doe you have to be in america to own a gun?? i was just wondering.. this could be a very interesting subject, age limitations in different countries!!

Posted by mute79 on Dec-03-2001 20:43:

well exactly, its wrong to give a car to a 16 yr old kid and let them go out on the road and pray they don't kill anyone... but then, insurance companies make the world go round, right? so who cares about that 16-18 death on the road statistic as long as insurance rates are high and the money's flowing... it is an interesting issue tho

LOL...being an American I can definitely know what you're talking about. To own a gun here you have to be [drum roll plz]...18!! Yet you have to be 21 to consume any kind of alchohol. I guess this shows a gun is safer than a beer then. Alcohol at times can be more dangerous but not often and it shouldn't take 3 years for you to go form being responsible enough for a gun for being responsible for having a couple of drinks.

The drinking age used to be 18 but was raised to 21 back in the seventies...bunch of bullshit but alcohol is so easily ubtainable its not a big deal. Oh yeah, while we're on the subject...weed should be legal here to, America can be such bullshit at times.

yeah, weed is legal here in holland and i often hear that holland is a drug country and that some people ectually think that a lot of people are just blowing a joint in public and all that kind of rubbish.. i myself don't some joints or whatever but i also don''t have problems with people who do because i hardly ever see the.. they mostly keep to themselfs and get high in private and don't bother people while they are high!!
