REVIEW: Get Localized @ SPUNDAE

I had soooo much fun @ Spundae with all my friend. We got really drunk before we got their and came late (after 11) so we thought we were screwed for the free guest list. They said that we were good for the guest list all night so we all went back to our car and drank even more and partied. We all stumbeled in an Kristina Sky was spinning. The dance floor was filled and she was tearing it up with some banging trance tunes. Me and my friend hit the dance floor dancing none stop (of course witha drink in our hand). Before I new it Swedish Egil was on. I dont know if it was just me but he looked pretty old. He played some good tunes though Delireum- Silence (I think the mix from Kristina Sky's new mix cd) and U2- A Beautiful Day. Kazell came on and threw it down as well. I did not recognize any tracks he played. All 3 DJ's had their own style. But I think the line up should have been Swedish Egil first, then Kazell an Kristina last. I walked in with Kristina bangin out the tunes and just figured the night would progress but it didnt. I thought they were more down tempo were I am use to a progression.

Thanks Kristina for the CD it is dope. I met a couple of TA's last night but did not see many.

!

Wow! What a night.

Firstly, let me just say that I was absolutely mesmerized by Kristina's set. She gets better and better each time I see her. I love the faster, bangin tunes!

I agree about the progression of the night thing as well. Kristina should have had a later slot imo. Hopefully next time.

Svedissssh Eeeeegil was pretty cool. It was fun to watch him do his thing.

Kazell was also impressive. Great tracks. I will definitely make it a point to check him out next time he plays in LA.

Spundae definitely has a winner with the Localized concept. Saturday night proved the people are excited to come out in full force to check out the local talent. I think they should do this once every two months and rotate some of the fresh new faces in for exposure.

I still can't believe Swedish Egil played No One on Earth & Around You in the middle of his set (and apparently Silence as well!) For a second, I thought Phynn had taken over

Anyway, great music, great people, great night! I agree this is definitely a format worth continuing, if only to make us discover more talent like Bob_Motamedi & djgilla

ok so...for my first time at spundae i gotta say. kinda shitty. the main room was lame, that backroom was just rediculous, the loft wasn't even that great. god thing i got in free. i'm not totally blacklisting spundae, i'd love to go back, but damn, saturday was horrible. i had more fun (waaaaaayyy more fun) at the "will dj for food" party.

Bas...I'm curious why you didn't like it ? Was it the music or the vibe in general ?
