yep... and it only does it between track 1 and 2... the rest works perfectly...

and as far as i know you can use cue's with any version of nero... just go to [burn image] and point it at your cue

Re: READY FOR THIS??

surely you can just convert to a wav and burn it to cd?

when i try to burn it i receive this message:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Error. Nero found an unsupported audio sample format while scanning the file D.M.E.- The Moon Fell Down To Earth(DJ Mind X and friends remix).Mp3. Nero only supports cd quality mpegs(44.1kHz,16 bit, stereo

this has been haunting me for weeks now. ive tried evrything to make my nero reconize it but to no avail(downloaded at least a dozen mp3 repair kits, coverted the format from mp3 to wav and back again, remaned it to every kind of format my nero reconizes, even repaired it to a lower bit rate from 192 to 128 ) and still nothing!
very confused as to why this is. ive never expierienced this problem with any other song but this one so id like to learn how to fix this problem so i can share it with my friends if they ever expierience this. if anybody has any insite on this or has expierienced this problem themselves i would sure apprieciate the input. thanks!!

I've encountered this before... this is not your burning program. This is a corrupted file. I have seen this and spent hours on phone with tech support for the burning software. You're only hope would be to play it while re-recording itself in Traktor or CoolEdit, THEN try to burn it.... unfortunately something in the Mp3 is corrupted. Or plan B - obtain another version of this song.

Cheers

Jim do you know how to use CoolEdit or Traktor? you can record a song you are playing on there, and it basically re-formats the song. If you use Cooledit it even saves it as a .wav....... ready for CD burning. Both programs will re-format everything...... basically what you use to record a liveset.... I'm sure you could use VTT as well.... try this and let me know how it goes - i've done it in the past with success....

Ok, do any of you know of that program that cuts the MP3 file according to the settings in the CUE sheet file?

It's called ImageCutter or something like that... basically how it works is, for example, you have that 150MB Essential Mix (or whatever) and a .CUE file for it, and you want to cut out each song (as listed in .cue file) and save each song as an MP3 file...

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Posted by L-Traxx on Dec-06-2001 17:16:

I think the programm you're refering to is called "musiccutter" and can be found here : http://www.trance-rules.com/main.php3

Does anyone know about a website(s) where they have a sort of cue file database??? can't seem to find anything like it on the web so far..

Would be nice to have a place to just download them instead of typin' them out!! yesyes me lazy..

Thanx in advance all

You..my friends.. KICK ASS!!!

been searching a long time for sites like this, thanks a lot!

i feel so undereducated

Wow, now that Ive read through this I want to go and re-burn the hundreds of mixes I have withought cuesheets.. whatever, I like listening to them all the way through anyways.. so heres my real problem.. I have an mp3 deck in my car. I can easily fit 5 or so 2-hour mixes on a cd, but when burn them I need to split the files into 5 or 10 minute chunks because mp3 cant resume play like a regular cd can. Now, aside from the pesky "under 5 minute" drives that force me to listen to the same chunk over and over or miss what I would have to skip over, the deck also has a pause in between chunks so every time it switches to the next part there is a skip.. If there is any way to fix this problem or use something like a cuesheet on mp3 cds i would like to know. thanks all for your help!

smellsexcellent: i dont think there is much yo9u can do when burning data cds (mp3 cds). all the suggestions so far have been for audio cds. although i could be wrong (not bloody likely ) heheh. you could use an mp3 cutting program to cut the big sets into 10 minute chunks or whatever, but there is no way in Nero, to stop the gaps between tracks on a data cd. maybe in other burning progs, i dunno...

dumb question, but can i burn Mp3's on a CD-R, or do i have to use CD-RW? i have a mp3 compatible cd-player
when i try to burn MP3's on my CD-R, it says the files are too long! i only have like 450 MBs of tracks, although they do go over 80 mintues...

so basically, do i need CD-RW's to put lots of Mp3's on a CD?

you can use cd-r's for mp3's in either data mode or audio mode. i store all my mp3's on cd-r in data mode. when you make a data cd, you could put up to 650 mb (or 700mb, depending on the cd's) no matter how many minutes it equals in music. if you are burning an audio cd, you can put 74 mins (or 80 mins) no matter how big the files are. keep in mind, cd-rw's wont work in a car mp3 player (i think).

hope that helped

as goldenarmZ said.. you go to burn image, and just point it to the cue file, the rest (if the cue file has the correct path on it) should do itself

still no answer to goldenarmZ's original problem? cuz i stole his writer and its really annoying... just one lil skip.. track 1-2 only.. baffling

heres a cue sheet i got that is doing it:

make it look like something like this, and put it in the same dir as the file your are burning out
then it should work

cdrwin is very good on burning *.cue files (fireburner does also work very well)

try it out

Posted by goldenarmZ on Dec-15-2001 15:45:

verminator, that's basically the same but ours doesn't have cd text...

i will try those progs though thanx
