Understandable if A&B were still with DJ Connections, but they're not. A&B are now with AM Only. Doubt AM Only really had a clue A&B played with Heaven before. Plus it's AM Only....they tend not to be dedicated to one promoter per city.

PS This post was made on my behalf and done with my own opinion. What is said has no reflection on the business decisions made by Spundae...cause I have absolutely no influence on that, lol.

JZ for me! Seen A&B before and didn't think they were all that! On the other hand, never seen JZ and I love his productions.... Plus some of his sets that I have kick ass!!!! JZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

is it hard for above & beyond to put their foot down and be like, "we'd like to speak with Heaven first before locking this gig, they really gave us our first opportunity out here"

Well, just going by evidence in the past...for most DJs, it's not their concern.

I can't tell you how many times I've asked DJs about things and simply got the response, "Get in touch with ."

It's the manager's/agency's job to get their client the most exposure possible. When they are first attempting to do so, I seriously doubt they are looking to commit to any one promoter right away. Gotta experiment.

EXACTLY!... Think about it this way.... If you were A&B, where would you rather play at? Spundae or Heaven? Enough said.

maybe i just come from a place where i look out for people who have helped me out in the past. this isn't a cut throat business, they are in demand if anything.

i hate analogy's but would you rather re-sign w/ a label that gave you a chance when you were first starting out or with a big corporation because you think its more exposure?

i probably should mention i have no bias, i'm not affiliated with either spundae or heaven

I was clear to say that what I said was on my own and has nothing to do with my association with spundae. If it were Giant who picked up A&B, I would have said the exact same thing.

I didn't personally use that analogy. Think it was Woody. I'm just saying that AM Only is still scoping out what's best for A&B. You never know, next time they might play with GoVentures or maybe with Heaven or who knows. Trying to figure things out. AM Only is one who never really tends to keep their DJs with one specific promoter as it is.

Yeah, that would be proper, but unfortuantely, not that many DJ's care. Some just want to play regardless of the venue. Then again, we dont know the history behind this booking. What if they did contacted Heaven and they couldn't afford them? What if Spundae outbid heaven? We just dont know.
