I can't find one...I think it's only available to SLR owners...like thanks for buying the car...here's an exclusive watch type of deal

Posted by muzzybear on Jun-14-2005 18:29:

So, you have to buy the car to get the watch?

Feck!

Posted by MaxTO on Jun-14-2005 18:30:

hmm...
sleek design, looks like a nice band, but it's just too clutered (sp?)
i wanna tell the time, not get hypnotised by all the hands moving around LOL
maybe I just like simplicity...

Posted by Hot Shot on Jun-14-2005 18:31:

i like the metal face.
but the crocodile band is not so much...

Posted by AwakenedAddict on Jun-14-2005 18:34:

the last two posts adequately sum up my feelings about this watch. A watch should be simple, yet elegant. Not flashy (crocodile band?) and complicated (too many hands). I also don't like square watches, but that's just a personal preference.

This is my perfect watch.

Movado Imperio.

fuck i think thats little to simple. how do you read that accurately??

Classy watches are nice, for when you're older or dressing up for formal events. For everyday wear, I'd get a technomarine:

That last one is $25 000 USD

Those are the gaudiest things I've ever seen, Karim.

Oh, and Ray, it's actually quite simple. Everybody that's owned a watch before has grasp of where the numbers should be. It's easy.

Posted by malek on Jun-14-2005 23:23:

none of these watches are that nice.

Posted by malek on Jun-14-2005 23:25:

think about that: if it wasn't for the mercedes logo on the watch, you wouldn't find it that attractive... your brain is being tricked.

You'd be surprised at how big this brand is amongst the yount, rich, fashionable crowd. They're also very functional and can withstand extreme underwater depth. They're scuba watches with flare. After techno marine's success, SO many high profile watch company's released their own "scuba" lines to compete (Bvlgari, Tissot, etc.)

You might not like them, but at least they've got a younger edge to them. Movado may be a "timeless classic", but that means you'll see more people wearing them who push walkers.

That's why I prefer the Movados, the Imperio I posted could be worn for any occasion, and it'll never go out of style, unlike those fad watches

Give me a Fossil watch ANY day.

Well, ALMOST any day. I'm quite fond of Omega too.

I disagree...that watch looks a lot like Tag's Monaco watch...that's what I told my fiancee I would LOVE as a wedding present...now, let's see about bringing that date forward!

Are you kidding? The movado is too formal to wear to the beach. Or with any dress down style whatsoever. It may be simple, but full metal, classic timeless looks don't go too well with a lax style.

I wouldn't wear a watch to the beach anyway. What do you mean by dress-down? Just old jeans and a t-shirt?

You guys actually make requests for wedding presents? Where's the thought in that?

Patek Phillipe are the greatest watches.

or if bling is your thing

for a simple stainless steel watch with a leather band, patek watches start at 10 grand US. the only place in toronto to sell them is Tiffany and Co.

One of my dads best friend is the north american head of patek phillipe watches. Before that, he was the west coast head of Bvlgari watches. He hooked my dad up with a $12k watch for $3 grand. When a watch is that valuable, it sadly sits in the safe....
