Dunno Genre Label

Just thinking in text but....

Can a style of music really be labled after an emotion or emotional trip? I can't understand how a style can be labled "uplifting" when its entirely possible that some people may find it absolutely depressing. It's a bit presumptuous to think that this particular track will change my mood.
