Hopefully they do not get any bigger. I'd like to atleast live through the summer

Posted by St. Michael on Jun-16-2005 21:15:

Definitely milder than Sunday, but Victor and I still got freaked out a lil.

Posted by Koolaid74 on Jun-16-2005 21:16:

Be Cool!

a 7 in norcal, two 5's in socal, a 7.9 in chile... all in the same week. seems that the whole pacific coast of the americas are active right now.

Posted by St. Michael on Jun-16-2005 21:26:

count on plenty more in the next 3 months

Didnt feel anything! Havent felt one in years.... The only thing that creeped me out was that Psunami Warning on Tuesday. I was in line to Digweed when I got the phone call... Scary

Posted by liquidmist2001 on Jun-16-2005 22:45:

lol, stupid earthquake woke me up!!! i was finally getting some sleep after diggers, and one sudden jolt by the quake and i was up....

definetly not as intense as the one on sunday, as that one stayed for a few seconds and had like a rumbling moion....this one just came and went instantly....

In all seriousness, i will quit my bitching how Arizona sucks to go party in..... if CA goes underwater. Then i'll count my blessings.

Posted by sheffy on Jun-17-2005 00:04:

The one on Sunday was more fun (I was in SD on vacation).

What'd you think of the 7.2 up on norcal? Big sucker. I didn't feel it tho.

Apparently Louisiana & Texas might beat us to it. Anyway I was sort of dissapointed with the earthquake, although it was a pretty nice one I guess. I was in my english class when it started, no one really noticed until it got intense. But yeah, when there's an earthquake I want a good one, not something small!

I felt the 6.6 earthquake that happened way up in NorCal last night. It was 11:24 on my computer so and I felt my apartment start swaying. My lamps started moving and my chimes (mobile) started going nuts for like 15 seconds.

I live on a 15th floor suite, so anything minor can still be felt because the building sways.

Right after that I looked the USGS site for awhile seeing where it was and nothing ever showed up, so I thought I was going crazy or something....then I wake up this morning to the news of a 6.6 earthquake happening a bit south of where the 7.2 at 11:22pm...so whala, I did feel something.

Odd thing...the USGS site still does not show the 6.6 earthquake on its map.

BTW, the swaying of tall buildings in earthquakes feels wicked compared to being on the ground. Second time I've felt something high up...last time was 30 stories up in a hotel in Tokyo a couple years ago. That was much more extreme.

It does show it, maybe certain views / maps are broken.. (it showed it last night too)

Here you go
