RESEARCH ASSOCIATE - ECOLOG ERIS
Business Information Group

EcoLog ERIS, a division of the Business Information Group Ltd., is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual for a 1 year contract (full time) maternity leave replacement.

Company Profile
EcoLog Environmental Risk Information Service Ltd. (ERIS) is Canada�s provider of property-related environmental risk information. ERIS has forged a reputation for accurate, affordable, and quick-turnaround search and services for historic and current records related to environmental conditions of property. We alert owners and environmental professionals of possible environmental problems on a specific site and its neighbouring area.

Overview of the Successful Candidate:
As a maternity leave replacement, the successful candidate will be responsible for researching and updating environmental databases, as well as representing EcoLog ERIS through a client/supplier interaction. The candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. He/she will be working under tight deadlines and will possess the ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem-solve many tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.

Responsibilities:
> Researching and contacting key government/private sector individuals for updates to existing and new environmental databases currently maintained by ERIS
> Maintaining and ensuring timely ordering and turnaround time for business-to-business products

Qualifications:
> At least 2 years of experience in a Professional Business work environment
> Demonstrated research, problem solving, time-management and organizational skills
> Successful business-to-business interpersonal and communication skills
> Knowledge of geography and spatial GIS concepts (knowledge of Mapping products an asset)
> Dependable, responsible, reliable, and detail oriented, with the ability to work independently
> Technically comfortable with computer software, familiarity with Microsoft products (Excel, Access)
> Must have positive, confident and enthusiastic attitude
> Must be a quick learner!

Start Date: July 15th, 2005
Salary: $32-38K based on experience

I work in a business research office now(for the last 18 months), and will probably be leaving soon. This would be awsome, except the fact that im leaving to go back to school!

Yea, would be a good job for me too.... if I didn't have school next year.

Interpreting GIS data is my major, for the most part (Social, Urban and Economic Geography)
