The death of the DJ.....
My friend started bata testing version 5. So many interface improvements and new effects check out www.ableton.com for the skinny.
If you're a registered user you can download the beta and play with it for like a week and it expires. Saving IS enabled though so you can open your stuff when you buy it which is nice.
One of the best things for DJs who buy hi quality mp3s - is it has mp3 support now which means you can not only skip the conversion to WAV to get your new tracks into a new mix - but also have 12,000 songs on your hard drive - as opposed to 1000. (or any 12:1 ratio)
Hands down the most innovative live performance tool EVER!

Congratulations, you know how to post pictures!
this is not good
'no skill' ? ha ha. that sounds stupid to me.
i'd like for you to read and see how ableton live does really work. if there's something that it needs, it's skills and ideas. this is way far away from the 'no skill' thought.

Ableton is def the present and future
no way on earth is ableton "taking over"
IMO, the ableton Djs are making themselves look boring, as mentioned eariler on
a few djs wil go to it but a lot will just stick with cds
and a lot of regular club djs will still be on vinyl for a couple more years.
the day i hav to go out and buy a 2 grand mixer for my laptop will be a sad day
^^^^^^
i am NOT saying it is easy to use, the creativity is good
but id rather a dj be good with a crowd rather than a technical genious, just my preferance
