Recommended Soundcards for PCDJ and Traktor.
Basically, whats a good multichannel soundcard. PCI that will run a main output and a another for the headphones?
Thanks in advance
hercules DJ console will do it. It's also a badass souncard. I recommend it. It made for what you want to use it for.
Is Hercules the brand?
MAYA 44 MKII

Too bad you don't have an nforce motherboard. They have amazing onboard sound and you don't have to buy some crappy pci soundcard. I'd say hercules is the way to go though if you want a good card for the money.

What do you mean? It's just a soundcard...just slap it in and go!
Buy a dxm01 usb then you can use the external crossfader, eqs and levels. They are pretty cheap
how many of you have 2 soundcards: one for everyday use and gaming, the other for music production?
I have 2 sounds cards, but the DJ console makes it seem like i have 3. I use the DJ console soundcard for everyday use. i use my Hercules GTXP to take up space on my desk.
I was thinking of getting a soundcard too, for mixing with my computer. But then someone said that my internal soundcard on my mainboard (ASUS something) could do almost everything i wanted. It's sound from ASUS (called "SoundMAX" or something). Is this true?
I use the Terratec DMX 6Fire with Traktor and it works perfect for me.
M-Audio Firewire Audiophile. One of the best you can get.
Mike
You beat me to it!
Shop around online and you can get it for like $170. External means you can take it with you and have better inputs/output options.

There are alot of online stores that deal with M-Audio. Try a google search and see what you come up with. Try ebay, too. Its a M-Audio Firewire Audiophile Interface. I think they may come in USB too, but I'm not sure on that.
I thought you get some tips , thanks anyway
They DO have a USB interface, but it's much more cheaply built and has some driver bugs from what I've read.
Here's a link for it at $180/US
