question about painting interior walls

so tomorrow and for the rest of the week i'm helping my gf's family out with painting her brother's new condo
tomorrow i'm gonna be the one to start the painting and be by myself, and i've done painting before, but not in a loooooong time
so when going to do just your average walls...whats the proper order and whatnot?
paint the edges/trim etc with a brush, then do the bulk with a roller?
i can't remember, though that makes the most sense to me
just not very confident with my painting skills/memory
thanks

Find a nice edger at a paint/hardware store, something that has wheels on it. Its called "cutting in" when you do all the edges and stuff, and that comes first. Then do the rest with a roller. 2 coats usually does the job. Unless youre doing red, in that case, youll need 4. Learned from experience...

I'd go with the roller first meng. then tape around the edges of the trimming and such, then paint the trim. Mess up all you want, (provided you don't paint beyond the edge of the tap onto the walls...if you do this you just don't deserve to hold a brush) and finally, remove tape.

viola, sharp, clean edge.

But that's just how I do it. So, really you could do it however works best for you.

"wax on, wax off" ??
"paint the fence" ???
"up and down motion " ???

i learned from mr. miyagi ! yes!!!
haha .. and you guys didn't ! .. jealous ?!?!?!? ..

anyways .. agree with angie .. start with the edges with a brush .. then use a roller .. i say if you can't find those rollers with the big sticks, then buy a small roller, duct tape, and a 4 foot plastic pole .. then you tape the pole to the roller ... score! .. learned that from macgyver ..

Spackle if neccesarry, then prime, then paint (sometimes you dont need to prime depending on the walls) use a roller do the larger areas then touch up edges with a brush or smaller roller.
