fuck yeah! its amazing, the whole time i was watching that vid i was trying to figure out how the thing flys,

thats an incredible design considering it doesnt have wings and it has such great maneuvarabitly. the design must be really light weight and they must use some sort of thrust vectoring.

i have a flying saucer thing like that made with foam, you can super control the hovering and stuff. I brang it outside, and as long as theres no wind, you can get it like 60 feet in the air almost, pretty good. The batterys are super small so its lighter, so you can only screw around with it for so long. Maybe thats why they kept showing only short clips in that video of the thing.

Where di I get one??

Posted by muzzybear on Jun-21-2005 21:39:

I want one!

Posted by VERTiG0 on Jun-21-2005 22:02:

Ah yeah, saw this yesterday on SA.

Word is that its powered by a motor from a CD-ROM drive and runs tiny servos to move the control surfaces. It's made of foam, weighs less than 1.5 pounds apparently.

The guy will soon be selling plans to make them on his website.

I'd definitely buy it If I could fit in it

I wouldn't personally buy it, but I would watch someone else enjoy their new toy and lots of money spent
