Favorite Beer

Mmmmmmmmm. This beer I'm enjoying is fantastic. So that leads me to open a more-than-likely-thoroughly-over-done thread asking this question:

What's your favorite beer(s)?!!!11!

I feel lucky to live in Louisiana and know the joys of the Abita Brewing Company's products. They make the most tasty beers I've ever tasted.

My two favorites are:

Purple Haze: It has a slight hint of raspberry flavor... really refreshing

Amber: The one I'm enjoying at the moment. Mmmm.

So feel free to chime in in a more or less elaborate way than I did. I'll just continue to enjoy this tasty beverage.

I assume you meant "Leinies," which was a GREAT call and I can't believe I forgot to mention that nothing in the world tastes greater when you're thirst than a Leinie's "Creamy Dark." It's easily the one of my favorite dark beers, and I can just drink a ton of it...

I'm not so much a fan... I don't generally like Bock bears...

Blue Moon
Foster
Castle Lager (South African Beer)
Some German beer i forgot the name, i had it in flight

I mostly drink Murphy's Draught these days. It's much like Guiness Draught though a little lighter.

Kilkenny Draught. Love it.

For lager, Castle is fine.

Both aren't too widely available in Holland though. Too bad. Therefore, it's usually Grolsch or Amstel (none of that light piss though).

My top two:

Beer from Quebec I'm having a hard time finding in Ontario!

Another nice Belgian:

And of course Guiness. It tastes better straight from the skybar at the top of the Guiness factory. I took this pic there last summer:

heiny!

Heineken is definitely my fav.

Then some of the Coopers (from South Australia) varities, especially Pale Ale, their Sparkling is pretty decent too, and the Dr Tims is quite okay too.
If you ever see Coopers, get it its good stuff, they are HUGE here, starting to take over Australia and spreading overseas too, I think its in the Uk and maybe the US too.

ummm, what else
Cascade Premium (from Tasmania)
Boags
Stella Artois (although I'm generally not a huge fan of sweet beers)

And no, no one in Australia drinks Fosters

Posted by Slylee on Jun-22-2005 13:19:

oh yea, i had blue moon (i think it's called that) about a week ago for the first time...u put the orange in it...mmmm that was yummy! it's my 2nd favorite.

I'm more of a cider fan so I vote for Strongbow, however, if I must pick a beer I go with Stone's Bitter.... assuming I can find it (bitters are very hard to come by in Canada).

That's odd, Brewer's retail carries most of Unibrew's line..... talk to your beer store and they'll likely order it for you, no extra cost. The LCBO definately will order it for you but they may charge a surcharge.

Posted by Vyper0987 on Jun-22-2005 13:33:

Amstel Light

and anything leinie's...

Posted by Moongoose on Jun-22-2005 13:34:

Yah, I've asked around but no luck. I haven't tried asking the lcbo to order it though. Good call. thanks.
