What ever happened to DJ Mangoo

This brilliant producer just disappeared!
He was a good producer with some fantastic melodies.
Does anyone know if he still makes music, and under what alias?

he was like one of the first trance i heard or got ahold of on mp3. i remmeber my friend called me a noob once because i liked DJ Mangoo better than Trance[]Control

I am registered on the t[]c forums but I never liked their music, except Gothenburg Sound, which was #1 on mp3.com like 3 years ago. I hear that song now and it sounds so noobish, hehe. I didn't know any better back then, LOL!

heh.. mp3.com.. talk about the good ol' days. The only mp3.com artist to make it anywhere in the EDM community was Probspot and rightfully so.

T[]C sounds exactly the same now as they did years ago... they're on Ampcast I believe.. but they'll always be online producers... no respectable DJ would ever play them because... well.. they suck. I've never heard even a decent melody or original sound from them. They contribute to the trance stereotype.

Mangoo was definitly the best composer out of all the mp3.com EDM producers... The Cynic Project being the second. The first hardware keyboard I bought, an Alesis QS 6.1, I bought because it's what The Cynic Project used

Towards the end of mp3.com's time, Mangoo really started to improve his production skills, and coupled with his composing skills.. he was putting out a few really good tracks.

But as for what happened to him after mp3.com? No Clue. But I sure hope he still produces...

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but I thought if he was a member here under another alias, he'd watch the production forums.

Anyways... Even though it's not the main topic of this thread, the MP3.com artists I remember is DJ Mangoo, Airbase, The Cynic Project and Chorale. Bob, did I love Airbase and DJ Mangoo! I loved the feeling i got from listening to The Cynic Project, and Chorale had the nicest vocals of all the artists on MP3.com. t[]c didn't please my... :-P

DJ Mangoos last track, "Why can't wee" had high production quality along with a killer vocal. I really, really hope I can find out where he's hiding.
He must be signed under some other alias.

Edit:
I googled a bit and found this. http://www.stureplan.se/site/article.php?id=435

Supposed to be a pic of him. I can recall his face from the MP3.com site, and this might be him!

*contimplates*

I think I'll do a remix of my favorite Mangoo track... not sure which one.. havn't heard any of them for many many years... I think 'Freedom' was my favorite, though.

That is a very nice song he has there. Now, I don't know about you guys, but it REALLY ticks me off when somebody just has their Soundclick page without any info on it...just songs anf they don't even have a description.

Posted by Adriz on Jun-24-2005 21:01:

Sorry to say so, but that page is probably a fake.
I have seen people calling themselves Groove Coverage on soundclick and then they post a song or two by them. Weird that the soundclick staff doesnt notice, cuz there are rules about doing stuff like that on soundclick. (Groove Coverage is a Euro group, in case you didn`t know)
Sad but true.

Trance [] control had alot of clone-tracks that weren't all that original or entertaining, but they had a couple of really really good ones. Emotions 2002 was amazing. I still have it and it remains one of my favorite tracks ever.
