trance and girls

why do you think most girls don`t like trance or EDM??

Posted by Aquarian on Jun-23-2005 20:41:

Huh? Says who?

Most people don't like EDM. I've never noticed a larger proportion of girls.

Posted by D-res on Jun-23-2005 20:44:

one of my friends, who just happens to be a girl, says its cause she cant sing to it, and when she can, the lyrics are "retarded"

my gf listens to country so idk.... ive gotten my last two to get into it and actually become fans, but i think im screwed this time...

Posted by shades_of_gray on Jun-23-2005 20:44:

no......girls like the cheesey trance shit, my ex used to buy them shit ministry cds.

but when ever i used to do her a mix, she used to always love these tunes

Katana - Silence
Nu-NRG - Dreamland
Hands Burn - Good Shot
Katana - Fancy Fair
Des Mitchell - (Welcome) To The Dance

and others which i cant remember now

yup, from what i've heard (from guys who like edm) girls always like cheesy stuff like armin...

it's rare that a girl will like eric morillo or eric prydz or sasha...

but u know something, u guys just haven't been to miami. if u go to nikki beach club on saturday afternoon, ivano belini spins some great house/progressive and there's plenty of pretty latin ladies dancin around and enjoying the music

NOT true. I can't do that. Tsk tsk, cliche !

I wanna be pounded into submission and dance !

I don't understand how my friends can't get into House? So warm, inviting, groovy. How can ANYONE not like house?

I like it like this personally. It's like I get to keep this huge muse all to my own

what a cute description i agree. love it...

Posted by jonze on Jun-23-2005 20:58:

i always see a lot of ladies at the clubs i go to and i dont listen to much cheesy stuff.

Posted by Floorfiller on Jun-23-2005 21:01:

i'd definitely have to say that girls do tend to seem to like what is considered the cheesier end of the genres...and i've also heard from everyone that i know that doesn't like EDM...they don't like it because they don't know how to dance to it, so its not as fun for them. and i have to agree there because all the stupid raver kids liquid dancing look like idiots...but that's why i listen to the music because i enjoy it musically...i don't care if i'm dancing to it, i love it anyway...

not at all, they're usually out on the dancefloor. however, most of the girls ive talked to hate being out there when it is packed because some dumbass guy tries copping a feel on them.

you need to open up your mind a bit

@estella: lol...what? how would i know??

Posted by Estella on Jun-23-2005 21:16:

let me tell you somethin about house music
its not just a groove
house is a feeling
and when you feel it
you will understand
that house music is freedom
freedom to be who you want to be
it doesnt matter who you are
it doesnt matter where you come from
for in my house
we are all free
one nation
gods children
coming together in the spiriit of house
feel it children
house music and make you do things
when you feel it, you will understand
its alright, feel it children
stand on up, throw your hands up in the air
set yo body free
let the music
take you higher
when you feel it
you will understand
that house music is freedom
freedom to feel love
to make love
children, come together
in the spirit of house"

and all the while, she's saying this a siren is slowly building in the background. It's just as classic as Amador's old tune! Do you know it?

Because I KNOW, you know

Posted by Allied Nations on Jun-23-2005 21:17:

i really think you arejust judgin this on the north american scene, in other places, where the scene is different bitches like other shit, in peur for example, tribal was the first genre that did well there, shitty iberican tribal, and all the bitches like that, there is NO trance scene so if the girls only liked trance there would be chicks ad ANY parties, cuz the only trance there is a big dj thrice yearly.

i guess it just depends

but i know barely any female psytrance fans, and the raves are like 75% male in india at least, where u have a huuuve psy scene

I find house to be a bit boring actualy I used to like it but that was way back when i was still getting high. So now i see the truth in that old saying: Aint the most worrying thing about extacy that it actualy makes you enjoy house music?

Posted by infinity HiGH on Jun-23-2005 21:19:

The accapella looks familiar...but I can't remember what the name of the song is.

Try this site though. Someone's bound to know it there.

Maybe you just need to dig a little bit deeper?

Edit* Thanks, Pete! I'm not head over heels for it, but it just feels like a classic
