What to do when you forget a girls BDAY!?!

Someone help.

I though of calling her, then saying "hii!! oh i feel so stupid, i know i shouldve told you this yesterday, but im sorry i have no excuse i forgot...so do you have that day off next week?"

Then id proceed to tell her happy bday.

Do that and she'll try and manipulate you in to buying her some hideously expensive present, followed by dinner at the Ivy...or something...

Why not be honest and tell her (ok, maybe half honest), that youre really swamped between work and home and family right now and youre really sorry that you didnt get a chance to call her, but you just wanted to say happy birthday. Get into a conversation, don't just ask her out right away.

first things first. did she remember yours? thats always my defense, because NO ONE ever does. also doubles for valentine's, as my bday is the 12th. two fays later the girls you're good, and almost more than friends with are "heeey! where are my flowers?! i'm gonna get pissed!", and i ask "what happened two days ago?". when i see her dumbfounded, she has just been cornered.

furthermore, you could just up and say it. but make it come out as an adorable, lovable act of idiocy, rather than just forgetting. call her and be all "daamn, i'm so absent minded, i hope you can forgive, was rather dumb of me" bla bla. should work. she may play a bit hard to get from there though, but done right, it can be fun.

tell a half-truth and then move on...

hopefully shell give you many more occasions to remember her bday

Don't apologize for anything. Infact, just play it cool, call her up and ask her how her birthday party went. The fact she didn't invite you is in my opinion enough of a justification to not have to say sorry, and if she didn't have one it just opens the door for more conversation. I would even ask her why she didn't invite me, and how I'm a little upset that she didn't(or something along those lines). Then just ask her if she wants to catch up the next day for lunch or something.
