Liking the low end hum in the intro.

Not a bad song at all. I liked the whispering.

Posted by andreas1999 on Jun-27-2005 10:50:

so far the best of your productions. the whispering sample is really cool. i'm still missing a big hook in it but as a progressive track it works quite well. there's a small click that can be heard in the intro between the kicks but it's not a big thing..

really like the beat around 06:05.

nice job!

thoughtlessjex, thanx!

andreas, ofcourse, I could make another climax in it.
thanx for the feedback!

Nice radio voice through this. Works. Bass could be more defined I think, it has no character at all now. Overall it's a pretty solid track, nice flow of chords, pretty simple but yet effective. At 6:00 it gets a bit draggy, some variety in e.g. the kick would do it some good imo.

Anyways, pretty good work, so keep up!

Ok here goes...

The build up of this track feels like a combination of two or three different kind of build ups, which doesn't fit well together. I would skip everything before 1:26 and replace it with a scaled down version of what's between 1:26 to 1:54 (The best part of the build up, and what sounds like it's part of the rest of the tune).

3:08: It sounds nice and everything is almost there, but still it's not quite spot on. Something "euphoric" and maybe something druggy is missing, IMHO. It would sound so much better with perhaps just a different chord or some other fx stuck into it all. You got the basics right, but a few things are missing if you want this to be a peak track, and not just a filler between two other tracks. It's these things that are so difficult to put your finger on. What is it that make a hit track...

The beat and rythmic sounds are the best ones I've ever heard from you. Great kick with lots of bottom. Good snare - perhaps a tiny bit too quiet though.

The overall sound of the track is very good and follows the trance formula almost to the letter. Well produced.

Well done. You have made something which sounds like a complete trance tune, and not a patchwork of 3 or 4 different ideas. From a professional point of view, this is not a great track or something you will get signed with. Still I'm impressed with how you manage to progress with every new tune I hear from you. This is a very big step from what I heard from you last time. You're not quite there yet, but almost. And if you keep working hard and learn from your mistakes, you'll be there soon. Good luck!

Hell yeah, this one is really sweet.

Sounds sometimes like the sample-melody of a movie. Really cool done, love it!

Posted by moolow on Jul-11-2005 07:12:

Thanx guys!

Knatter

U-Worm, It's really cool u think it sounds like a movie. In my earlier songs, there were always someone telling me it sounded like they were seeing a film.

Thanx for the feedback!

Like everyone says, its a very solid piece of work with a nice driving feel to it. Nothing really stood out to me though as memorable... it just felt pretty bland to me... perfectly executed, but a bit dull. I was waiting for the melody (which is the centrepiece of this track I think) to take me on a journey but it just didnt deliver in the end. There isnt much variation throughout it and the atmosphere and fx arnt heavy enough for me to really get into the progressive aspect of it. Regardless, its v.well produced!!

Posted by trance-ecj on Jul-11-2005 09:23:

wow, very emotional...i like it a lot!!!

when it hits, you drop the percussion for 4 beats before it loops again. I didnt like that...ruined the high moment sort of

I wish it could keep going, building and building for a bit longer...maybe another loop...if you heard Echano - Nothing to Live For, a very emotional song, he keeps building and building the main big line until the very end...that would work perfect here

Posted by moolow on Jul-13-2005 23:31:

Thanx for the feedback guys! Very helpful, planing to rebuild the track a bit!

Posted by MK-S on Jul-14-2005 00:57:

I liked this. Subtle melodies and genuinely relaxing. I'd work on giving the main lead synth a bit more power, though.

Posted by PDM on Jul-14-2005 06:28:

I used this in my set Der Sezzionz X which I'll upload within a few weeks.

You got a winner here mate. *Bows*

Posted by moolow on Jul-17-2005 09:41:

MK-S, Thanx! I will remake the track later on. Hopefully the leadsynth will be more powerful!

PDM, Thanx mate! Let me know when u do.
