Underrated tunes / remixes appreciation thread

This thread is for all those underrated tunes / remixes that you may not have originally appreciated, or known about but you have recently (re)discovered.

Basically lesser known tunes, remixes or B-Sides that you may have once gazed over and now wonder how you ever lived without it.

i.e. A real gem of a tune or classic.


For a bit of quality control...anything before 2003


For example...

Take Way Out West - Mindcircus, I always played the G&D remix it was my fav mix but today I was looking though my tunes and put on the Fred Numf mix and WOW - Tune!

So here a couple to begin with...

i always thought that this was underrated

I agree that Aquanuts - Deep Sea is underrated! Great track.


Here's a few that seemed to slip through the cracks:

Denzil & Dwayne - Force Of Habit (Armin Van Buuren's Rising Star Mix)

Signum - Cura Me (tiesto later used the same vocals for A Tear In The Open)

Stamina - Backspace

Unmark - The Silent You

Yahel (feat. Melanie) - You Feel


And even though I loved (as did many) Solar Stone's Solarcoaster when it came out, I didn't really discover how great the Greg Murray Mix is/was till recently.

The Digital Blonde - Electra. rarely mentioned nowadays :E

Here's a couple I forgot:

Liquinoid - Atmosphere
Little Star - Petite Etoile

Aquanuts - Deep Sea +1

The greg murrey remix of solarcoaster is pure class.


Here are a few oldies I came across a little while ago.

Resistance D. - Human
God's Groove - Prayer Five
Jam & Spoon - Path Of Harmony / Odyssey To Anyoona < totaly under estimated these tunes when i picked up tripomatic farytales 2001 way back in '94. I would like to say I bought it for these but i got it cos 'right in the night' was on the cd

In regards to Ricky Smith, I'd mention "Sutra." Although it was always one of my favs. from him as soon as I heard it, I think it's relatively underappreciated.

Tilt - Sirens (Tilt Four Motion Mix)
G-Pal pres. GHOS - I Can See The Lights
Greed - Strange World (Blackwatch King Monkey Dub)

And I agree about Aquanuts - Deep Sea.

And then there's Error 010 - Meta Morph VI (or IV?), seems to be only available on 2 compilations, I like this track very much. Same goes with Loren X - Empire Days, only on Trancemaster 2009.

I really like the original mindcircus... it's the bassline in it that I tend to prefer over all the others...

I really suggest people out there who hasnt heard force of habit to have a listen to it... probably one of the best tracks out there.

I originally though signum "stole" those vocals to his song cura me, but what do I know
