I love these guys and its about time they're spinning on live radio again. IMO, I like their productions better when they work together as opposed to when Cass puts something out himself.
Fire999..Nice sig by the way you are sleeping!!!

Not 100% Prog.

All the people expecting 100% prog must be dissapointed. They went for something different, after all if you can't take risks on the Essential Mix then where can you? A lot of DJs seem to slightly change their style especially for it. I was hoping they'd throw in some of their old Goa stuff, if they'd done that then the 'proggies' would have been apoplectic!

so, the verdict, is it good? enjoyable listening?

Well since you asked..imo...wasn't even worth the cost of the electricy I used to power my radio.

Sounds like a big upset? This thread was started because some of us were so anxious to hear C&S do their first Essential Mix, and they let us down eh?

Posted by Shudder on Dec-25-2001 07:10:

man this essential mix was like the weirdest one i've ever heard. I onlly listened to an hour of it since i couldn;t stand the bullshit that was being played. seemed more like laid back samba music or something cause i heard kept hearing this hawaiian song which drove me insane. plus they had the tracklistings all planned out which seemd like it was either studio recorded or prerecorded at some club which allowed them to play experimental weird music.

at first i didn't even think it was cass & slide till i heard some progressive beats.

anywayz merry christmas everybody
