What is the most expensive game you have ever bought?

Final Fantasy III for Super NES. Original MSRP: $79.99

Vampire Savior - Lord of Vampire (DarkStalkers 3, Saturn Import) $84.99 Bought it at an Electronics Boutique, just before Saturn died.

Pocket Fighter for Saturn Import - $69.99 Also bought at an EB.

Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter for Saturn Import - $74.99 Bought from an importer on the west coast.

And I STILL have all of these games...very special to me.

yeah i heard from friends that i was over charged

to think what i couldve done with the $44...

I reckon those who pay monthly fees to play games like WoW would take the cake in this department.

Arc The Lad Collection For the PS1 = $60.00
I heard Chrono Trigger was the most expensive SNES game $74.99 Not when it was the first day of retail. More of like it went on collector's item.

Has anyone played Suikoden? The best RPG ever. I see on Amazon.com that people are selling Suikoden II for over $200.00

Anyone remember Virtua Racing?

That game was 70 when it was first released.

Virtua racing - $99 usd

I returned it a few days later .

For me this is an easy one.

Radiant Silvergun - $120.00 (It was unopened)

I spent well over a grand building up my Saturn shooter collection. Also paid over $100 bucks for Salamander Deluxe Pack. I was obsessed with getting all the rare shooters. I got most of them, but then sadly, I lost my job was forced to sell all of them on Ebay. I got most of my money back though because these games hold their value because they are rare.

I sold a bunch of worthless NES games to a game retailer (I bought them second hand for about 38$) and traded in all those for a game worth about 128$ (complete Terranigma for SNES).

Everything is freeware, as long as you want it to be freeware bad enough.

DAMN!!!! That IS expensive!!! I have that game too. Bought it brand new for $40 @ Wal-Mart.

Another expensive game for me: LUNAR: Eternal Blue for Sega CD. Used, also $50. Still have it, and a true rarity it is.

W00t! I bought the Silver Star Story (the 1st one) used for Playstation for about $35. All worth it though, I liked it at the time.

Word. And now THAT game is incredibly rare, even more so than Eternal Blue COMPLETE. I'm a LUNAR fanatic so I have all 4 of those and the Japanese Eternal Blue for Saturn Import. I used a Katakana guide to get me through the game since I can't read Japanese. That import game also cost me around $65 from a West Coast importer.

That's rather costly! I'm sure it was worth it for you, though.
I use GameFaqs.com for RPG guides...they usually make the best ones and don't spoil anything.

True.

Here's the game itself:

Didn't come with the stuff that the COMPLETE games for PS1 did, but I guarantee you won't see this here much.

Nice

I'm looking at both my versions for PS1 and I noticed the 1st Lunar has mold inside the box already
