Sad Natalie Halloway

If anyone knows about her, each one of you who has must be feeling sorry for the girl's family and her friends.

She came out of a club in Aruba on May the 30th and according to some left the area with three men. She hasn't been seen since and now there has been a random search going on for weeks on the island. There has been a few arrests already, but I hope that they find her alive

Please pray that she will be found alive and pray that she will come home.

She's deader'n a hammer at the bottom of the ocean. Maybe her body will wash up somewhere. That oughta teach parents not to send their teenage daughters off to remote resorts with a lack of parental control...

Yeah dude, I don't really understand what's going on with that story... They let that Judge and that DJ go on lack of evidence, but they continue to hold those three others, I just don't understand why they haven't charged any of them yet, I guess I just think it's an odd case that they have enough evidence to continue holding them, but not enough to charge them...

I really wonder how long it's going to take for this to be resolved... seems to have gone on far too long... I can't imagine what that family is going through right now...

what's up with kids getting lost/dying/getting killed recently anyway? first Natalie Holloway, then a boy scout gets lost, now another boy scout gets lost, then a girl gets killed by a shark, today a boy gets severely bitten by a shark, and the 3 boys from New Jersey dying in a car's trunk .....

Life can't exist without death

People end up missing often. Why does the media pick only few cases, and why did they choose this one?

I really hope that karma is nice to you and nothing happens to any of your children.

Right. I'll remember that the next time they want to go to Pango Pango or Iraq on vacation.

this is sad ..

i wouldn't be surprised if she turns up alive and well in another island, and she confesses that she "ran away from home" .. like the runaway bride .. ..

but high probability is that she got dumped in the carribean sea .. it's going to be even harder with the sharks roaming the carribean, and the tropical storm that passed a couple of weeks ago ..

heh, its great talking to people about this cause they all say the parents are stupid for letting their 17 - 18 yr old daughter go to aruba without proper supervision.....

now, how many of you mother ******s would stand to have your mom tell you can't go anywhere when you are 18? I would hope zero. SHE IS AN ADULT. (wait, I think she was 18) eitherway, she graduated from high school, which should count for something (unfortunately it never does)

and this case is popularized by the media so that all the reporters can get a free trip to aruba, you notice that all of them are on location, yet if an alaskian teen goes missing up north, no one reports there.

good point i put most of the blame on her. let me ask you if you were an 18 girl would you go to a club in a foreign country, and leave with 3 guys you just met at 2 in the morning? If you want to live recklessly then accept the consequences.

I have been following this with intense interest. It is extremely sad to say, but it is my belief that Ms. Halloway is now deceased. Too much time has past for her to still be in captivity and the police to not have tracked her down. Most criminals are boastfull and time has proven that more often then not criminals talk themselves into jail rather then police finding them out.

That being said it is likewise very sad to see the judicial system in Aruba NOT working very well under international scutiny. While I realize that this is not a U.S. territory or even a protectorate of the U.S., it was my understanding that Dutch law enforcement operated under similiar procedures as our own.

I have read posts in these forums and others that bring some very harsh language agianst Ms. Halloway and her family. That these posts are cruel and illogical goes without saying. I made a trip to Aruba when I graduated in 1991, there was as little if any supervision then as I am sure there wasn't with Ms. Halloway's class. I am aware of the drinking and partying that went on with my class trip as I must imagine went on with this one. My point is victims should never be blamed for the situations placed upon them by criminals. Ms. Halloway's social standing or even lack thereof shouldn't be held agianst her either. It is almost like some of these posters are trying to say that it is OKAY for something this tragic to happen, like she deserved it because of who she was born too or raised by.

In general to make a long post a little shorter, some people should really, at least try, to THINK before you write or say something stupid.

If this doesnt apply to you, then don't worry about taking offense to it. If the shoe fits however, then it is my sincere hope that you do in fact think before posting.

Thats my two cents for today.

Can someone explain me, why this girl is so important to have her own topic?

I mean is she a pop idol?? her name sounds like that.

To be honest I dont think there is much chance on her being alive right now and if she is then she probably disappeared by choice. You never know what could be going on in someones family life that they may not care to go back to regardless of the way they may be portrayed by the media.

Why she left a club with 3 men could be anything, they may have forced her, druged her or it could have been by will. The posibilities are endless. I do feel bad regarding the situation because I do have a child myself so I can imagine what her family is going through, I too probably would not give up home and continue to search since there would be a void in my life.

However I do think that this happens often, its sad but its another reason why I dont watch the news. Its too depressing. I practically get all my news from these boards.

shes dead. another murder. who cares. the only poeple who should are her family who are the most bitchy blaming both gov.s for not finding her. fucking pathetic. i lost pitty for them

Posted by FallingMoon on Aug-17-2005 20:03:

well aruba isn't that big of an island...she's gone...they did a good job of hiding the body...

I don't blame her parents cuz she's a HS graduate and that was her graduation present and you can't fucking tell a teen who just graduated she can't go to an island alone...on the other hand, if she met the VANDERSLOOTS & company at a club and left with them, that was stupid on her part...

unfortunately people die ALL the time in every country...there is no difference here.

Posted by itsamemario on Aug-17-2005 20:16:

i've never heard of her.. but bummer for her...

Posted by kelly923 on Aug-17-2005 20:54:

so was it her arm that washed ashore in venezuela?

Posted by occrider on Aug-17-2005 21:14:

Who is this girl??? Why isn't the media doing more to cover this tragically amazing news story? Maybe if they gave her more prime time, she would be found.

I say twice as many news stories on this and runaway brides imo. It's things like these that matter the most.

u must be joking...

Posted by tribu on Aug-18-2005 02:34:

I really don't care about her, and the continous coverage is a joke when there is nothing new to report.

As many have said she could be dead at the bottom of the ocean. However, she may have ODd on drugs and the boys, being scared, sunk her. Or, she may be a sex slave somewhere in the world.

Yes, she was 18, but someone had to pay for her trip to aruba. Id bet my life savings that she did't pay for herself...
