Loops not right tempo in Cubase *Screenshots*

Im having some trouble with loops, not being what tempo they say they are in cubase.
I have some samples that are acidized ( and are at 120bpm but when i import into cubase http://img246.echo.cx/img246/8503/arggghhh3ay.jpg that happens!

happens with some unacized loops to!

You can time-stretch the sampel quite easily. See the arrow cursor button on the toolbar? See the little downwards pointing triangle next to it - click on it. You should get a drop down menu with a few options, one of them says something about time stretching (can't remember exact words). Select it, then 'drag' the right edge of the sample to the end of the bar - hey presto it'll time stretch and fit to the bpm.

Thanks works great... but when the original tempo is 120 so when i stretch them to 140 they dont sound to good, espacially with percussion loops, should i not stretch them this far ?

sounds lose quality when they're stretched. If you want to speed it up that much you should rather change the pitch.

To improve rhythmic accuracy of time stretching:
Go to Preferences->Editing->Audio->Time Stretch Tool, select "Drum Algorithm" from the combo box, and move the "Accuracy" slider as far right as it needs to go. You can also change this setting temporarily if you time stretch by right-clicking on the audio clip, and going to Process->Time Stretch.

To resample (speed up/slow down clip WITHOUT pitch correction):
Right-click the audio clip, go to Process->Resample. You can also go to Process->Pitch Shift and uncheck "Time Correction" if you want more control over it.
