Jbl Cf100

Well I ended up getting the Technic 1200's (dunno if anyone remembers my thread regarding the techs and numarks). Now I need 2 floor speakers for the bedroom. I found someone selling these as a pair for $300. Thoughts?

is your bedroom on the second floor? what is underneath it?

why do you need floor speakers? are these your only speakers for use with your set-up?

jbl has never done me wrong. for home use they are top notch. i am actually currently fixing up a pair of LX-44s... over 12 years old, but sound crystal clear. if theyre in good shape, get them. look at the woofer, like where the head connects to the cabinet, and look for any degradation. also dont forget to test them. good luck!

razzi.

Yes, the bedroom is on the second floor above the kitchen. And I thought floor speakers would just give me better sound and bass then your regular speakers. And yeah, I suppose for now and for a little while these would be the only speakers I would have with my setup. Just one speaker on each side of the tables. Think these things are too powerful for a regular bedroom dj setup?

i think the big question is who do you live with?

how big is your bedroom?

for the price, i would go with a set of monitors with good bass. i hate to endorse what i have, but the rockit 8s are a nice monitor. small as far as speakers go but large for monitors. 8" woofer. i use them in my basement which is around 12 x 18 with 3 openings into bigger rooms and they are plenty.

I was also thinking of going with those monitors then. Not the floor speakers.

i think those are "studio series", not studio monitors. i am not positive, but i am pretty sure thats just the name of that line of speakers from JBL.

go find them in a shop and listen to them. if you like them, buy them.
