[130 bpm trance] Yarune - Sync Master (Raw Instrumental) - Full 192 kbps

Hello there!

It's me again with another track, a bit of downtempo trance. I put some more time in this one than my previous, but I feel it's nearly finished now so it's time for you to share your thoughts on this

This version is an instrumental dub and is full on it's own. The final will probably have a vocal in it, another title and bugs fixed.

Still, I think this is one of my best so far already. I hope you like it and place some reviews.

Yarune - Sync Master (Raw Instrumental)
8:13 | 130 BPM | 192 kbps | 12 mb

kick arse tune!!!

a nice slow groover
-when the sub bass comes in its really nice.
-at 1:01 its just lovely!
-guitary sound might sound better with some delay, maybe a tape delay
-great breakbeats
-break down is wicked
-production is great

-about the vocals, i'm not sure that it would need any. If any, just some little phrases, not full verses etc.

excellent song!! has a really great mood and feel, i really like this more downtempo style.

Very cool laidback track. The bass is great and the melodies remind me of summer so that's allways good . I can hear you put a lot of time in this one. Good use of effects and you manage to keep the track interesting. Quality is also very nice. Good job neighbour!

nice original stuff from you jay, bassline is great and also general atmosphere too. also like those asian type synths too, there is distortion in parts think its from the kick drum you have going.

all in all nice track vocals might also be a good idea

Heya thanks guys!!

heh markus schulz sounding... cool

can't think of any complaints right now except for that the mastering EQ is kind of weird and honky... might wanna send over to a friend to play with it on winamp or Itunes and send you an EQx file back... or get it mastered by a professional.

Hehe thanks Gerry.. why don't you give me some tips on the EQ where exactly are the issues

If needed, this will of course be mastered by a professional.

Posted by gerrycueto on Jul-03-2005 12:42:

sounds like it needs more low mids and less high (6-8khz) mids. like try to open up the midrange more instead of concentrating it on a couple of bands.

Hey jay

Nice tune. Like Gerry said, improvement in eq/mastering would make it sound really good. The other thing that i think could improve, is the kick, sounds to "BAOM/bouncy" ,hehe if that makes any sense.U have a nice bassline, so having that style of kick and bassline just makes it too much imo. Tighten that kick somewhat. Contact me if you make changes/improvements on this one

Posted by Jay M on Jul-03-2005 18:17:

Thanks guys.

David I understand your point, I think it's a good idea to just make the kick less booming, if that's what you mean. I have a nice idea with vocals in it, but it'll take some time before they're added. Once it's done I'll let you know.

Anyone else?

I couldn't find any complaints myself. Very nice track. I liked the guitar-like sounds.

Thanks jex!

very enticing production... bass is thick and lush... guitar sounding really nice

however... in my honest opinion...

- lose the really high frequency sound that is on right at the beginning and various parts of the track

- and also that mid bass sounding thing that starts at 0:32 i didn't think it just fit the track at all

everything else sounds great... the compliment of melodies work well

Posted by Jay M on Jul-07-2005 07:34:

Hi J.L. Thanks for the pointers, I'll have a look at those!

Hi mate!
Oh!Very goog job!
Bass is excellent Sequencer synths very nice I love the main melodie of guitar as it is.Is very relaxing and melodicThe synth also at 3:00 is beutifull.Something like oriental. Generally the track is a very very nice chill out project. My only complain is for the openhihat or something like this that distort a lot.

Congratulations

Hey mate,

Just listened to the track and first compliment is :

Great beginning of the track! from the first drumbeat you catch my attention.

Bass is a bit too heavy, and I do not even have big speakers.

Lovely guitarish riff during the build up, percussions are good. For some reason however the mastering is not up to par. Some sounds really sing around if you know what I mean. They tend to almost distort.

The main melody is a bit weak, you could work on that. The guitarish riff promised a great track but this main melody does not live up to the expectations. ahh the guitar is back

Hmzz overall the track is not as good as the beginning made it sound. It just flows a long nicely but not really a track that will be in my head after this first listen. Although all the elements are good: percussion is great, lovely driving bass, good build up. Just the main melody that is too weak and simple.

Overall a 7 out of 10

Cheers!

Nomen Nescio

@ Sparkunian: Cheers!

@ Nomen Nescio: Cheers! I'll try to improve it melody-wise with the vocals.

Cool track.
Lots of evolving sounds and a nice melody.

Only thing that bothered me is that the bassline is a little too wide and makes things a tad muddy. A more simple shorter bassline centered in the middle would do the trick I'd reckon. And yep, vox would help out a lot

Nice work!

sounds mint, the guitar gets a bit boring imo. part from that, it's mint

Hehe Luke, is that you?

Cheers guys for commenting.

- nice, clean percs
- i like the bassline, but i also agree that its a bit muddy
- i'd make your pads louder
- its a bit awkward how the bass exits before the buildup in the break
- the lead has pretty nice vibe and works very well with the guitar
- i think the track is missing another main lead which would come beore the build up in the break. something with a more percussive sound so i stands out
