Wow, lookit...my first post!

Anyhoo - I have been a trance fan for a long time now and I stubled across this site and love it..I was wonderin if anyone could tell me what Epic Trance is and maybe suggest some tracks...I guess thats about it...Thanks

To me Epic Trance is trance stuff from Armin,Corsten,Blank & jones,Rank1,etc.... it has those distinctive breakdowns that are similar to all epic songs... usually is also melodic or some what melodic.... personaly its my fav form of trance =)

possibly... i think epic trance is trance that has a distinct melody to it. it often has vocals and gets extremely close to the cheezy end of trance. with it's predictable and formulaic makeup, it's catchy and can be enjoyed by most people, even people who aren't into trance.

some prime examples are:

Aurora - Ordinary World [above & beyond mix]
Kay Cee - Escape [club mix 2000]
Binary Finary - 1999 [kay cee mix]

.. oh yeah, that reminds me. i just heard this song off mp3.com from this group called nexxus. it's called "cry [club mix]". man, total epic trance if you as me.. http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/31/nexxus.html
