Crazy weather pix!

ok ladies and gents..as many of u have seen the crazy weather today afternoon...unless u have ur days and nites switched like Mr. Taha here!
anyways I was on my way back from work when I got stuck on the high way...I left work (downtown) at 5:15pm and got home (new st. laurent) at 7:50pm...i usually make it in 20-25 min..

so luckily I had my camera with me which kept me entertained...thats besides Eric Sneo's bombarding tekno choons

I took most of the pix while the car was in motion and from behind the windows..i tried hard to time my photos between the fast swipes of the swipers for that reason alot of pix are a bit unclear...I also had to reduce the size of each bit by around 10 times for fast uploading...

anyways here are teh pix...

First pic...all the cars had to go on the side to avoid the "lake"!

same place, but pic taken from my window..

other cars swimming on the other side of the road..

it took me ages to get thru that lake!!

Mr. Police Man blocking the high way..

Mr. Police Man's truck..

10000 lanes merged!!

same place..

wanted to go for a swim here...

caught the ladies gettin wet

i felt sorry for these guys standing all the time under the brutal rain..

following the cops closely...best way to go thru traffik

alot of ppl like her stopped their cars and went to look down at the high way..i was very curious to find out what was goin on down there...but i was driving in the middle lane...few moments later and i was like fuck it...stopped my car (cars were barely moving anyway) ran took a pic and went back to my car.....it was shocking....herez teh pic..

wanted to take more pix but i had to run back to my car...

there was a nice ferrari...stupid car got in the way...

survivors...

survivors 2...

the rescuers!

scary stuff...thought it was gonna get worse..

twister build up?

i was bored...

and finally...these clouds seem to be sailing away!

One thing you can always count on and thats montreal having shitty weather.

omfg... i was caught during 3 hours in traffic today

I was on Decarie when everyone just stopped, then a cop came walking and told me to tell people to back off then he ran away.

ok... so i go walking around and tell them to back off... some were like "why?" fucking morons.

anyways, i back up on decarie, get out.

then i see the mess on jean talon, decide to be a smart ass and turn and smaller streets to the right, worst error. I lost one hour there... everything was block too there, every passage going north was flooded and blocked by cops...so I come back to Decarie.

I decide to take another street on the west side, turn around and around, fucking hampstead and montreal west are weird little towns.

after turning around, I end up back south on sherbrooke

I take the 20, i arrive at the 13, its blocked, but hurray, there's another entrance to the 13, i take it, wow empty highway, i accelerate to catch up the lost time then fuck, everyone is stopping again.... i hear at the radio " 13 north blocked bla bla bla" fuck.... i back up on the 13, take an exit then go thru the industrial parts of st-laurent.... i had to go thru a little sea of water, my cars makes weird noises now

finally i arrive to the 13 again, go north, laval, then everything is fine....

3 hours thats a friggin record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rofl Malek, that story was both entertaining and humorous, good job.

(btw: I'm with you on the weirdness surrounding Montreal west. It's like suburbs in the city which makes it something out of the twilight zone.)

Awesome pics!

YOu should sell them to the newspapers quick before tomorrow morning!

I was RIGHT THERE at the de la savane metro exit, right by the Ferrari dealership around 5:45 while a HURRICANE was coming down outside. There were maybe 100 people huddled in that little metro station which normally has 5-10 max at any given time.

weird stuff.

I pity the people on decarie that got their cars stalled.. looked like sewage down there!

lol @ malek's post...i can imagine how pissed off u are/were...

i was gonna do the same mistake by taking smaller streets but i changed my mind...coz everytime i do that i get lost and end up an hour later where i had already started

u see the weirdest shit man...throughout the whole journey...the guy in the car behind me was reading a book...the lady beside me had an ever lasting argument over the fone..and u see ppl running in the streets like craazy!

Bertuzz...u should've told me man i would've picked u up

Ya it did. But it was much worse. Instead of a crazy downpour for an hour or so like this year, it was 3 hours non-stop.

In my neighbourhood, it's still referred to as "The Flood" cuz everyone's basement was COMPLETELY lost.
