Worm Popper what car do you drive??

Okay, since a couple of weeks we now know what car every body likes most. But since I'm Dutch I like to stay realistic. So, question: what car do you drive RIGHT NOW??

To be strictly honest with y'all, I don't have one at this moment (never had either), but I'm thinking of buying a classic car (older than 25 years), caus this is very interesting with taxes and stuff like that in my country.

o yeah, and if you have an 'interesting' soundsystem in your car which can blow the doors and windows out of the car: tell me!!!

and somehow I've got this feeling we're not driving in very expensive cars (just a feeling).

...and thats a bad-ass car.... the potential in that motor is ridiculous. A friend of mine has a 4-door TDI Golf with 170 horsepower (170 ps or so) and like 250 ft/lbs. of torque........ which is ridiculous... all by only putting in a chip.

I drive a 2000 GTi VR6

I love my car! It's perfect for where I live; San Diego, and I only paid around 5 grand for it. I spent all last summer installing a stereo, so I now find driving everywhere a pleasure instead of a pain in the ass. Here's a link to some pics and a link to a page about my stereo and it's installation.

Nice Thread....

My ride is :

1992 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo [RED]

My CD-player died on about a year ago....Damn Sony! Followed by my Sub.....I think my turbo-chargers are next

I used to co-own a 1993 Mazda RX-7 and this speedster still rocks...

5 Years back, I was driving a 1995 Honda Prelude and I must say that V-Tech engines are simply amazing...love the roars to it than turbo engines (short-lived)

Verdict: Japanese cars seems kinda stale to me now....would prefer a Euro-production...hee hee just like Trance...

Would love to own a BMW X5 or M3...if I stopped buying vinyls...!!

Cheers

well i love cars and i honestly need one to relieve most of my stress...but im in college, poor and not one of those special people that get one from their parents. when im home in Colorado i drive my dads 1989 Civic SI, a piece since he never kept it in the garage (but still fun to drive, esp when i had my stereo in it...its funny when you catch your dad bumping folk music!!). my 'sisters' Blazer. Im bitter about that one, since it AINT hers but i nevah got a car in high school! also a piece because its a)an SUV; b)American; and c)read b)its falling apart. 'my' car is prolly the one i made my mom buy. its a 1993 Acura Legend LS, tinted, spoiler, bra, etc. All stock but VERY nice, i wish i had one. I could slap a supercharger on it! (evil grin)

oh yeah i forgot, my dads racecar is the shit too. a 1972 triumph spitfire(formerly a GT3) with a small bock buick V8 in it. we autocross it in the summers, its the shit...too bad it aint street legal, it could prolly beat almost any car off the line...

i have a 1996 chevy blazer ls. nothing too fancy just a nice kenwood radio,a titan roof rack for my surfboard, and possibly mirror tint but that might look beat as hell. what i really want is a 2002 ford f-150 harley davidson quad cab pick up. holy shit those thing are just awesome!!! i mean they come with stock 20 inch chromes on it!! my goodness what a truck.

and i paid for my truck. and i am proud of that.

i drive a beaten up '91 ford mustang (aka "the rustang"). is has rust holes, a deck i bought from walmart, and somehow the automatic transmission has 4 neutrals. the shocks are shot, and the passenger side door doesn't open. the back seat has been fucked on so many times by so many people that if my car was evidence is a sex crime, there would be endless suspects. oh yeah, and my horn wasn't working for 2 years but i just fixed it.

if u would like to donate money for a decent car, or if u live in the toronto area and have a car that you would like to sell me for under $3000, pm me.

Posted by DJ Rob Noli on Dec-07-2001 05:57:

Danny also forgot to mention about his Rustang, the brake pads just got fixed because he almost it someone and realized his break pads & tires were more bald then Danny DeVito. In addition, his front bumper is missing a large chunk of paint due to the time he did a donut on the highway and hit the guardrail.

Ah, I almost forgot, I've been hit with that car going 20 kimometers an hour, our other friend fell off of it and dislocated his wrist, and one time while trying to push it out of the snow, the stupid ford rear wheel drive spun and kicked up muddy snow all over my face.

Further, the alignment is what I call "progressive". The faster you go, the more off it gets.

Its funny watchin from the passengers side as, on the highway, Essential has to turn his hands slowly to make the car stay straight.

The front liscence plate was also dented in the middle when my friend, in a drunken stupor, kicked it wildly.

Finally the story of how the horn broke:

While installing the deck he bought from wal-mart, Essential1 and our friend Daniel lost a screw in the place the lighter is supposed to go. Daniel, being the moron he is, tried to dig it out with a screwdriver. All you hear is "I think I got it.....ZAPPPPPP" (accompanied by a cloud of smoke).

The horn didn't work for 2 years.

Regards,

Rob Noli

A TDI with 170 bhp???!!?? men, I cant believe that remains in one piece... at our country, VW just introduced a 150 bhp TDI, but they admitted they first had to strengthen the crankshaft, pistons an pistonrods to make sure it would last a bit longer than a couple of miles.

and then 170 bhp out of an standard engine, really curious bout the performance of that one...

and then your own, ABT. a VR6 engine in a 2000 golf? mmm, not available at our place, just a normal V6 and a limited 210 bhp 1.8 litre turbo engine (only available in holland in a number of 150 )

ok, lots of fine cars you guys own, sigh, still aint got one myself

It spanks my VR6-powered GTI, THAT's what it does...

In the USA, we don't get the silky-smooth V6 you guys get.... instead we have the VR6, which is less power than the V6, but is smaller and costs less to produce (and is better on fuel, ironically).

The 1.8T cars over here now have the 180 Horsepower, not 150
The VR6 motor over here now makes 204 Horespower, not 174

To all the guys with the Rustang story, LMAO!! hehe, i've been there. One of my first cars was an '86 Olds Cutlass..... you wanna talk about a POS?? heheh, but it was plush!

for all you Civic CRX owners, check this bad-boy out:
(this is what happens when rednecks join the NOPI tour)

my mom's Infiniti J30:
(the red dixie cups to cover the brakelights was MY idea )

my last car:
('87 prelude - i had problems with the exhaust so i just did a Peterbuilt-style side-mount unit.....)

my dad's lamborghini diablo!

oh..... and to be serious for a sec,

and yes, i did pay for it!
BTW - i really don't go nuts over the M5 like everyone else does... yeah its a nice car, i drove them all the time (i was a BMW/VW salesman), but its RIDICULOUSLY overpriced! Even Ford has the Kenny Brown Crown Vic which outperforms it and costs about half.... and i'd take that over the M5 (or the E55 AMG!) heheh.....

Cheers!
