Right... man, people have to open their eyes and realize that the war against terrorism is an endless battle. There is NO possible way they can "rid" the world of terrorism. They may be able to tame it for a bit, but it's essentially a war that'll go on for ages.

Where's Nick when you need him?

Posted by Bronze on Jul-07-2005 23:06:

Cé pas de Nick qu'on a besoin

Mais de plus de bombes pour anéantir les forces terrorismes

Sfini les bombes dans les grandes villes du monde

c'est tellement terrible...

C'est un evenement tres triste mais quand on pense qu'il y a eu plus de 100 000 mort irakiens, faut les comprend detre en furies....

I second that.

there will always be the big bad USA (among other "supremacies") to exploit ressources as much as possible in foreing poor/weak countries. On the other hand youll have all those countries revolutionary minded pple that will do everything they can to stop their countries being abused from behind.

Normal and endless flow of things. (allthough very sad)

And like someone wrote - bombing those countries is what we need... well this is exactly whats gonna happen and will simply continue the so said circle.

England is such a powerful country, I hope they don't retaliate in some rash way and start more of a conflict...

This is also such a reminder to all us in our comfy countries, England has some of (if not THE) best security world wide... Soldiers in airports, tonnes of very well trained police and excellent emergency services and warnings. EVERYONE KNEW IT WAS COMING, and they took so many steps to prevent it, and sadly something bad still happened... I hope it will stop soon and of course my sympathies go out to all the families who lost loved ones as a result as some petty cowards who arent brave enough to actually fight their enemies, so they resort to killing people on their way to work.

God bless.

it was really terrible to see an attack in the metro of london

rofl, this is EXACTLY the problem with terrorism, there is no one country to retaliate against. It's nothing more than a global syndicate with small forces set up in almost every country INCLUDING Montreal...

Posted by malek on Jul-08-2005 00:55:

what do bush and blair have to do with these bombings!?!?

islamist radicals have been bombing shit up way before these two came to power. and it won't stop.

Posted by Alex on Jul-08-2005 02:40:

You're right it wont, and even if it does there will be others bombing for other reasons.

And Marcus you cant retaliate against one country you're right, but you can at the VERY LEAST bring those to justice who were responsible.

I found this caption to be a tad interesting. I wonder if Iraq said that when bombs first started going off...

I cant believe im reading this, coming from a smart Canadian.

The war is a war on TERROR. Terror = noun. Every time the US has tried to fight a war on a noun (drugs, poverty) they have FAILED. Just as they will with this, you cannot fight a war on a noun, simple as that.

When you see hundreds and hundreds of dead Iraqis...noone says anythiing, cause they are in the less civilized part of the world. And dont tell its only a few dying cause every day there are attacks we dont hear about.

I am however, sorry that innocents had to die in England.

BTW, political threads on a forum? Big no-no. There are always ppl like Bronze who are misinformed and will turn the discussion into a flame.

you guys said it all, i won't add a word.

i'm sorry for all innocents dying (wether they are british, iraqis, afghan, africans, etc ...).

Wow, very well said...sounds like something Epi would say with his obsession with grammar LOL

Political threads, prostitution threads, mother****** threads, anything goes, man, but Bronze isn't half the flamestarter Shadowolf is...(hint, hint)

Anyway, I have to re-emphasize how much I agree with your point!!! War on a noun when you say it like that doesn't even make SENSE!!!! LOL!!!

Malek, it was Bush, not his predecessors, that decided that the root to the terrorism that hit NYC was planted in Afghanistan. Occupying other countries and nation-building isn't the answer unless you kill off every single person that would hold a grudge.

What ticks me off so much more is the preferential treatment that Saudis were given right after 9/11 (yes I believe every word that Michael Moore tells me) that shows how BUSH prefers one Arab country over the other, ESPECIALLY when (I can't prove this, but the secretive way in which the Saudi government works--I witnessed this--makes me paranoid) probably the planning and money comes from Saudi Arabia. Case in point: Osama Bin Laden.

I very much hold Bush's cavalier attitude to such a sensitive and complex issue partially responsible for this.

What happened to the days of fostering TRUE PEACE (Clinton with Rabin and Arafat?)

Posted by layloula on Jul-08-2005 19:49:

Terrorist attacks are everywhere...we can blame al Quaida... Bush..Blair all of them are the causes of these attacks...Now the medias are going to brainwash stupid pple by saying let s fight against terrorism(implying arabs)..It s funny how it happened the next day of the Olympic thing...and during the G8 congress .This type of attacks can t be planned by "Al Qaida" but by internal secret agent most probably...and this we ll never find about it. TILL NOW who did 9 /11??? unknown ..(but we do know us..smart canadian it s the CIA )
