Evolution Midi Keyboard with Cubase, Need Help
Ok, im still newish to cubase. Only been using it probally about a year now. I have a old Evolution 361C keyboard. Now I can use it fine when im just pressing the keys, but the part I dont understand how to setup is the 16 knobs that I have. I use to use reason alot and it was simple in there, right click on what you want to use the knob on, check learn from midi, then twist the knob and your done. However its not that easy with cubase. I just cant figure out how to use the knobs on my keyboard for different vsts. I have been manually doing automation for the past year and I have now run into a problem where I need to use the knobs.
One of my friends was saying you have to remap the knobs or something? Thats all he heard and doesnt know how. If thats true, what is re mapping and how do I do that with this keyboard
Any help or any links would be greatly appreciated.
This is why i never graduated to cubase lol
Ill stick with fruity thank you very much
Anyone have any idea??? I know some people here have to use some kind of midi boards with the knobs. Oh I forgot to mention, on some of the vst's I use. When I turn the knob, it is already set for a specific thing. I just cant backtrack and see how that is lol.
I don't know much about cubase, hell I don't even have it, but I searched a bit and came across this step-by-step guide which might help you. Don't know if it will tho, but you can always try:

Just let us know if it helps

I tried searching but didnt come up with anything b/c I didnt know the right terms to put. Only problem I have now is I dont have anything with this keyboard no more. Its basically 4 years old and I must have lost the manual when moving. I doubt they have one online but ima check and also read that link you posted, thanks
Oh and thats cool you use fruity loops. I never liked it since I first tried it in 2001 and never tried it since. I switched over to reason, then to cubase. Cubase isint that hard after you play around with it long enough. I wouldnt change for anything now.
