Ferry Corsten @ Glow Review 07-09-2005

Amazing night!

Ferry Started the set with Moonman-Galaxia 2005 remake! He went on to Force of Gravity and then went tech-trance for the second hour. Just fucking crazy.
Big shoutz to the TA/GlowCrew peeps, and Amit's girlfriend #2. Hahha Inside Joke

The set was definitely great. I'm ready for a track list as soon as someone's got one.

Had a great time. Nice meeting the TA's that I did.

OMG I can't believe that this thread looks so poor.
I would say this night at Fur was one of the best in my entire life.
Needless to say that I love DC. I was going there with big expectation wanting more of Ferry and i got it.

Somebody was talking about Ferry being very predictable and playing the same tracks over and over again - so i want to say that he was ABSOLUTELY different in DC. It was like a completely new DJ and his set had as little similarities as I and Big Mike (sorry Mike for bringing up your name but you are the first person who came up in my mind ) Only love to music combines us and in Ferry's case it was his Excellence. His set was built up and performed on a totally different level. It wasn't trancey (however he spun Godzilla's track and Airbuiscuit)- it was 90% techno. I think Joey you would enjoy that night more then at Crobar because it was banging and banging.
One thing that was always a bit upseting at Fur is the hours and early close up but..... we all went for an afterparty and Ferry was playing there as well till 6.30 am. I had a blast!!!!

Well, it was nice to see familiar faces of some TA's and numerous Pete's cousins LOL, and all management of Fur. I want to thank all of them.
Herb and Hong!!!!! guys, i love you! I do appreciate you coming over from New Orleans to see Ferry and finally meet me!!!! You made this night for me!!!! and i'm so looking forward to partying with you at TIC in LA.

I guess i was the only one who was allowed to bring a camera in, so... there are some pix.

hahaha, now im smart. I asked him myself and that's what he told me It wasn't pure techno but techno-electronic and some other fency words that he used to describe his music that night. But i haven't heard that many familir tracks as at Crobar and it was a very hard set.

Yeah, his set wasn't very trancy at all. I dunno if you could consider it techno but it was very banging. Reminded me a little bit like a very hard PvD set with that Ferry Flava.

Heh, and I dunno if you remember Sveta but as I was coming down the steps from upstairs I cought you dancing on the corner of the dj booth and waved to ya. You were groovin though so I dunno if ya noticed. And was that you right outside the club with "Greedy" in the beginning of the night? You 2 looked so familiar but I was just walking by and was like... nah...

ah yeah, i remember you waving me from the stairs ( i wasn't sure it was you though) and Peter (Greedy) also. It was a very different night from Crobar but it was as good as the previous one. OMG I feel like the luckiest one to do both of them and an afterparty

It was great having Ferry Corsten back @ GLOW! It had been too long since Ferry's last appearance in November! Once again...Ferry Corsten didn't disappoint! I've seen Ferry Corsten about ten times, and this night's set reminded me why I never miss out on him! I can't help but feeling euphoric after experiencing one of Ferry Corsten's sets! He always puts me in a great mood! I loved hearing Ferry Corsten throw down so many hard-bangin' tracks...even more than in past sets! I didn't recognize most of what I heard...still it was amazing! The vibe in the main room was unbelievable! Everyone was so into Ferry's set! I will never forget seeing how the crowd went insane after Ferry threw down Rock Your Body Rock!

My only complaint of the night was that Ferry Corsten's set was little more than three hours. I was expecting more than just one encore. As much as I loved hearing FC's remix of Thrillseekers - Synasthesia for his encore...it wasn't enough for me! I wished it was like most other times @ GLOW, when Ferry would spin till about 5 AM!

Last but not least...it was great seeing so many from TA and the GLOW board...including a few that I remember well from the good old days @ Insomnia! Shoutouts to...Sammy and Dan (great seeing you guys back in DC!), Jared, Sveta, Robin (great seeing you and your lovely friend Christine!), LittleLauren and Mike, Tyler, Courtney, Ceza (great seeing you and Carolyn once again!), Jess and Scotty, Amanda, J-Biddy (great you finally got to see FC!), Limin Li, DJ Guatemala, DJ Flight, 3bbi3, Jonathan and Amanda, Fireboy Dancer and Brighteyes, Cristian, Italo, Luciana (glad to see you're back in the States!), Franco, Greedy, and Roberto! Sorry if I forgot anyone!

See you all on July 30 @ GLOW!

Do me a favor and listen to some Mauro Picotto, Chris Liebing, and Svan Vath....and then tell me if anything Ferry Played sounded anything like them.
