how does everyone get to listen to the newset tracks

i've always wondered, how does everybody always manage to listen to the newest tracks?
I don't really have enough time to keep up to date with the newest releases.
i'm amazed how knowledgable some people are on this forum!

i listen to live sets and then find out their track lists, or i check out my fave dj's websites. they tend to have a top 10 list which you can check out. and some check the latest releases from record shops like chemical and juno.

for those of us living on a college budget, livesets and freebies are the (legal) way to go. CD's and $1 songs are too damn expensive.

Also listening to samples at Beatport, EDMDigital etc....

The more determined trainspotters on this board have been known to suck DJs cocks for tunes!

Internet mostly. Through live sets and radio shows. It helps if uve been into it for a long time like me since 1998. You tend 2 get more adept at finding ways 2 hear new tunes.

The best way is of course 2 go out clubbing!

Posted by raydn on Jul-11-2005 01:53:

I listen to the samples on Juno and decide what i like, rather than going by what {insert name} DJ plays or whats on the radio.

listening to trance since 1993

back then of course the only source was radio *cough*, friends or listening to complication cds..

clubbing too i guess but i wasnt old enough

Lol, I work 30 hours a week @ $8.50 an hour, go to school full time & live on my own paying $500+ in bills ... I can still easily afford to buy $1 to $2 songs.

In fact I don't know anyone in the same position or who is on a so called "college budget" who can't afford to buy something worth less than $2.
