Smiley DJ S-Tune - Nightflight (Chilled Trance Edit) [96 kbps/full track]

Hello,

Some time ago, I posted a Chillout-Song called "Nightflight"... (Link to Thread)
Well, after the great feedback i decided to take the theme/harmonies and make an different approach of the track...

This is the "final" version of the Trance edit...

Direct Download

I´m not sure about sending it to some labels together with the Chillout-version... (?!?)

All comments would be really much appreciated - thanks in advance!

Cheers S-Tune

i liked this track, very calming melodic atmosphere. i can't really suggest anything, as there aren't really any small details i could pick on
nice work, keep it up.

Very nicely mixed. Good logical progression, ambient elements are rather nicely done. Good choice of melodic synth sounds. Percussion is smooth. It sounds very dj ready. The only thing I could think of is to perhaps throw in a fatter lead as the current one is a little thin, but this is a matter of taste.

I could hear this track being played toward the end of a dj set. Good job, let me know if you post more stuff up. PM me.

I remember this track, actually I have it saved into my hard disk , I think the chill out version is way better, even when this is not bad at all, excellent track .
Kopi =o.

listening to this track, 1:40ish like the piano, although, not really a big fan of piano trance, I heard too much of rob miles.... lolz.

like the strings. this would be good in a car stereo, driving... (that's a complement).

WOOOOOWWW!!!! is that guitar I hear??? cool....

really ambient, and good uh.... dream music

lol after hearing the first 5 seconds of this song I thought it was going to be a Celine Dion track. good intro btw. and the piano used in the track sounds really good... this track reminds me of something that Ace's Delight would do. Good work.

The kick could be EQed better like lowering some of the upper bass and turning up the lower bass (because the kick is kind of in the same frequency range as the bassline... let the bassline take the upper lows and the kick pound harder on the lower lows)... and the 909 ride is too in the mids for my taste and is distratcing from the music, try highpass filtering it to a higher frequency, so it's felt, but not in the way of the music.

I also don't like that kick roll you use to go to the breakdown...it sounded like the track was going to build up to something bigger but it left me hanging when you dropped everything.. kick rolls should be used for tense buildups... not to trick people into breakdowns.

@all: I´m glad about your comments... - there is much work behind the track...

@Gladius: Well, i give my best ... but i´ve discovered that when you get better, it takes more and more time to finish a track ...

Sorry for pushing , but what do you think about the piano... is it too simple?

I´m thinking about throwing it out of the mix because now it seems to me to be "tinkling" (i hope it is is the right word)...
