Gouryella?

Which was the last song that was produced by both Tiesto & Coreston? and what songs by Gouryella were only produced by Ferry?

I dont think tiestor was anything to do with Ligaya is this correct?

thanks

correct...tiesto had nothing to do with ligaya.

i believe he was a part of the track before that though...Tenshi, which woulda been the last one as a duo...i think...

All of them minus "Ligaya" were produced by Tiesto and Corsten. Although Tiesto is at least credited on the rest, though I've always had doubts about how much influence he really had on them as they sound like typical Ferry Corsten work of the time.

Tiesto isn't credited for Ligaya (he shouldn't be, he quit his Gouryella collaboration with Ferry Corsten before it was made), but they DID work on Tenshi together.

EDIT: damn you, you edited it.

Yeah I just edited it there and am replying here as quickly afterwards as I can. My connection is badly fucked up.

Anyway, "Ligaya" is what I was thinking of. Don't know how I edned up saying that up as I have the UK CD single of "Tenshi" with the Transa and Roland Klinkenberg Remix.

I still love Tenshi to this day, though I think the breakdown kind of ruins it. The video was cool too.

Tenshi, one of my faveorite trance songs ever.
And why do I always think of Ferry when I think of Gouryella? I whenever I listen to a Gouryella track, it always reminds me of Ferry, not Tiesto.

Re: ?

I really love most of the Gouryella productions that Ferry and Testo has put up. This is great tunes made back in the years, Ligaya is my favourite though, Got to say that I really love Tenshi too. Great works indeed.

I think everyone remembers him.....
Never found out who he was. It was obvious he was a 'local'

Gouryella is the best track by Gouryella, in general I reckon their productions went downhill.
Gouryella>Walhalla(non vocal)>Tenshi>Ligaya

I just gotta say that I've always hated Gouryella.

I have never heard anyone dislike them before. I just never new why their productions were so loved. I think everything from them sounds like lame fluff. And yeah, I heard Gouryella - Gouryella when it came out and it never attatched to me.. really it just made me want to find a knife and shove it in my mouth. It's distant, floaty, melody caused me to dry heave.

It's like eating a banana; just sweet enough to make you think it tastes like candy but just dull enough to leave you completely unsatisfied.

Anyway, there I said it, I hate Gouryella. I like some Tiesto and some Ferry.. but Gouryella makes me cringe.

I kinda agree there although i have all gouryella records. Their first track is their best work and i quite like it somewhat especially the gigolo rmx.

The rest doesn't catch the feeling like the first one because i think they are too cheesy for my liking and they lost their imagination after the gouryella track ripping orchestra strings and turning them in to danceable versions of it.

Well i hardly if at all like Ferry or Tiesto anymore besides some tracks not sounding typical cheesy dutch trance. If Ligaya sucked i can't imagene how sucky Ferry's next Gouryella track should sound like?

I wonder what you do like then, cause most 'cheesy' productions these day are made in Scandinavia, where you live.
But indeed, the first gouryella track is the best, though the binary finary remix and tenshi are great tracks as well. Ligaya is so-so, and walhalla really sucks

And do i care? Respect other peoples opinions. I forgot to mention Gorella that is quite a good track too.

Posted by mdk on Jul-13-2005 13:46:

So tell me.. what typical cheesy dutch trance did Ferry Corsten release lately?

Posted by klappa on Jul-13-2005 13:53:

im not saying he only make cheese because there are some good ones but as a general. his latest productions under his own name is just for commercial purpose and i don't like that. i maybe have liked ferry before but ive grown up. just my opinion and you can't change that. greetz!

Posted by The Drow on Jul-13-2005 14:49:

I like all Gouryella tracks.
I think ligaya is the best becuase of the melody and strings.
Everyone has it's own opinion about anything.
Accept it and maybe TA will be a better place to be in.
I don't like the "If you like you are a " altitude.
I never use it and I excpect other pepole to act the same...
Not that it heapens but hehe it's a nice try anyway

and it's just mdk's opinion that ferry isn't cheese...and you can't change that

For sure, Ferry is my favourite

Ligaya is not a true Gouryella track. The Tisto signature is missing.

Posted by zoric on Jul-13-2005 22:33:

I really like music, And I like music that I can enjoy. That's everything that I'm looking for when I'm listening to a track, That's all.
