I hate cd's so where can I get my vinyl from, in canada online?

that site looks cool but doesn't have the releases i'm looking for...I went through the whole sticky and found that the only reliable place is Juno, and thats in the UK..so, time and shipping will suck!

Guess I wont get back into it...too much of a pain in the ass to go to record shops. Dont need the hassle anymore.

does anyone else think that statment is just wrong? hate cd's? for what...they are the reason most the music got played everywhere. not everyone is able to buy vinyl, nor tt's to play music in their own home.

you may hate cds to dj on...and that's perfectly fine.

but in this day an age buying vinyl is not that affordable when you can simply buy yourself an electronic copy of the song for $.99, or $1.50 (whatever the price is) and have it in the next few minutes instead of waiting days before your request gets mailed in. so instead of hating, why can't you accept a different way to do the same job you do?

Yea I agree to an extent, but personally most of the tracks that I look for are only released on vinyl and if I am lucky enough to find them on a mp3 store then its there for sure, but its usually rare in my case to find a digital file with the same quality as the vinyl. When played live, especially in a club environment, you will be able to tell the major difference between mp3 or any compressed format compared to uncompressed wav or vinyl. Then again this is only for people who take this hobby that far I do alot of mp3 + vinyl for home use.

PS: Also the argument of cd vs vinyl the feeling...etc, way too big of a topic, personal preference is what matters I guess

Try www.releaserecords.com - they're in Toronto , lottsa vinyl.

Personally I do MP3s ripped from my CDs. I can't tell the difference between the sound of a well ripped WAV / MP3 / Vinyl - but that's a topic for elsewhere!
