Question Trying to begin York Uni Trance club

Wondering if any trance addicts go to York University and want to create a trance club at York Uni? Just want to see how many people would actually be interested, so can get things going in August.

Cool idea! Too bad there wasn't such a club when I was in uni...I might have been on the righteous path so much earlier!

Good luck with this!

Haha Sonia thats awsome you know i'll be in that for sure.

I graduated from there last year, tried looking into it, a lot of junglists there...not a bad thing. Also, try speaking to "Paultheengineer" about this, apparently he had spun last year @ Frosh week (had I had known I would have gone for SURE). I knew someone who used to dj @ Calumet (my former college) who had told me tons of times that York isn't a huge place for that. They still have Semiotic @ the Underground though, every first Wed of each month I think...

Naw. I've seen flyers there for a while. I remember once seeing an Agnelli and Nelson poster outside the student centre for them playing @ Meow.

Posted by Streamline on Jul-15-2005 03:59:

Yeah I saw a few last year about Matt Hardwick and some other events.

I think it can roll all it needs is a good push...

Well me(Peter) and Sonia had been thinking about starting up something like this for a while now. It had occured to me that probably the best way to get the word out would be here, considering that there are quite a bit of people in Toronto that post on these forums.

I personally have been listening to trance music since I was about 15, now that I'm 21, I'm really starting to become more interested in the whole scene (hence why i'm here). So if your interested, awsome, and if you go to York, well hey even better

Too bad the S@Y crowd can't join a York club. I'm sure you'd find a buncha trance peeps there.

Sonja - Give me a 468x60 banner and I'll make it so that those surfing from York U will see it when they visit TA... There are quite a few so you'll get some interest.

Just let me know where you want me to link it to

(And ya, I went to York - I started partying in my last 2 years there and remarkably my marks went up instead of down)

Ooooh...so that's what "S@Y" means. I thought it was a reference to "soy"....
