from 2pm 10pm @ Brady Avenue & Compound!!!

18 to party / 21 to drink

An all day & night music festival unlike anything that has ever happened at one of Atlantas BEST venues, COMPOUND!

WITH SUPERSTAR DJs.

International DJ/Producers
BLANK & JONES First time EVER in Atlanta!!
(www.blankandjones.com, Warner Music, Love Parade) - GERMANY
Blank & Jones' dominated the top of Germany's dance charts during the country's late-'90s trance explosion. After a chance meeting at the PopKomm music conference, one-time record clerk Piet Blank and Ratinger Hof's resident DJ Jaspa Jones formed the Blank & Jones production team to make broad trance records of the Aeon, Kai Tracid, DJ Manta, Darude, and Angelic variety. Met with consistent success as they laid the groundwork for their full-lengths, the band also won the respect of their peers, finding remix work for Fragma, Mauro Picotto, and Moby, as well as getting the chance to use Yello's Deiter Meir on their second album, 2001's Nightclubbing.

Americas Favorite
MTVS - DJ SKRIBBLE
(www.djskribble.com, Paul Oakenfolds Perfecto Records, ) - NY
DJ Skribble formed Young Black Teenagers in the early '90s with rappers Kamron, ATA, Firstborn, and Tommy Never. After the release of two YBT albums, the group broke up, but Skribble kept going. In September of 2000, Skribble was added to the roster of Essential Mix DJs with the release of Essential Dance 2000. Making appearances on networks like MTV (The Grind, Yo! MTV Raps, Global Groove) and being involved with New York radio station WKTU, Skribble (or "Skribs") is also involved with Cindy Margolis, co-hosting her self-titled beach-party theme show. Skribble turned to an even more commercial dance-mix sound with the release of Essential Spring Break in mid-2000, and invited listeners into his own pad for 2001's Skribble's House.

Legendary DJ/Producer
CHARLES FEELGOOD
(www.charlesfeelgood.com, Moonshine, Fever) - MD
Since 1997, Feelgood has been one of the leaders behind Charm City Recordings. As part of the label, Feelgood teamed up with fellow producer Nardy Teal as half of Partners in Crime. In addition to remixes, the duo recorded their own tracks and became known as a staple to the Baltimore/D.C. dance music scene. Feelgood's position was even more stabilized when he co-founded the club Orbit (later Fever) with popular D.C. high energy DJ, Scott Henry. Feelgood gained more press when he signed on with Moonshine records, a label notorious for turning unknown DJ's into superstars, such as DJ Dan, Carl Cox, and DJ Keoki. In November of 2000 Feelgood released, Can You Feel It, a CD of high energy, tech-house on the super star label. A year later he followed with his own volume in the DJmixed.com series.

Internation DJ Superstar
DARUDE
(www.darude.com, 16 Inch Records) - UK
For Darude, it all started with a brilliantly engineered sound that increased in frequency, until it sounded like an alarm. Your only chance was to dance for your life. The sound developed into a track which was one of the most popular dance tracks in Europe in 2000. The track was 'Sandstorm'. It's success started from Finland as a tidal wave which eventually swept over UK and USA. We are proud to welcome back this Atlanta favorite!

With LIVE Performances by The Worlds HOTTEST Dance Acts

D.H.T Listen to your Heart
(www.d-h-t.be, Robbins Entertainment) - UK
With the 2005 single "Listen to Your Heart," D.H.T. became the latest European dance act to find its American footing via Robbins Entertainment. The New York label had previously helmed singles from DJ Sammy ("Heaven") and Lasgo ("Something") to success, and the Belgium-based D.H.T. (singer Edmee Daenen and DJ Da Rick; various producers) featured a similarly propulsive blend of accessible Hi-NRG/Euro-dance rhythms, plaintive female vocals, and progressive house texture. It was D.H.T.'s glossy Roxette remake that really caused a stir, like Sammy's cover of Bryan Adams before it. "Listen to Your Heart" first appeared in Europe through Hardbounze in 2003. Issued stateside by Robbins in November 2004, by the following May it was a Top 40 sensation in various markets. D.H.T.'s previous work included a Euro-dance cover of the 1978 Sniff 'n' the Tears gem "Driver's Seat," released under the moniker Dared.

NARCOTIC THRUST - I like it Safe from harm
(www.narcoticthrust.com , London Records) - UK
UK-based Narcotic Thrust comprises producer/remixer/songwriter Stuart Crichton and DJ Andy Morris. The production team became a major number in the British club/dance scene after remixing Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head," with samples taken from New Order's classic "Blue Monday," named "Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head," and released on the B-side of Kylie's hit "Love At First Sight,". Narcotic Thrust signed up with Pete Tong's label London Records before issuing "Safe From Harm," with vocals by Yvonne John Lewis and featured on Danny Tenaglia's compilation Back to Basics.

NADIA from IIO - Rapture At the End
(www.nadiaali.com) UK
Nadia Ali, voice of the group iio, is responsible for the crossover hit Rapture that captured the worlds attention just a few short years ago. A string of club hits At the End, Smooth, Runaway followed and now Nadia is guaranteed to take the electronic music world by storm, taking her writing skills and lush voice solo.

AGO - Tell Me Where You Are Put on your Red Shoes
(www.everness.com/ago ,robbins entertainment) - UK
Agos first record "This Is The Voice" was released in 1991 under the name Paranoimia. Since then, many productions followed. In fact, although the name Ago seemed new on the music scene when the single "Put On Your Red Shoes" was released last year (including a remix of Ago's original version by Gigi d'Agostino), Agostino Carollo is not a newcomer at all. In fact, Ago is well known for his projects X-Treme ("Love Song" was three years ago a smash hit all around Europe) and Eyes Cream ("Fly Away" reached the number one spot in the Billboard USA Dance Chart in 2000). His last record as Eyes Cream, "Open Up Your Mind", released by EMI/Capitol, was recently a Top 10 in the Billboard USA Club/Dance Chart.

JES From MOTORCYCLE - As The Rush Comes Everything With You
(www.planetjes.com) UK
Jes has spent her entire life perfecting her musical craft. She was singing in musicals throughout her childhood, and by the age of 16, she was making her first vocal recordings as a reference vocalist and back up singer for several artists with major recording labels. Jes has been writing lyrics, music, and producing original tracks ever since. Jes plays keyboard, guitar, and has graced several bands with a variety of influences including alternative rock, pop, and underground dance music. She has collaborated with such artists as Deepsky, D Fuse, and Solarstone, and was included on Paul Van Dykes acclaimed 2001 Ministry of Sound compilation called Politics Of Dancing.

ANDAIN - Beautiful Things
(www.ornadel.com/andain.htm , robbins entertainment ) - UK
Andain is Josh Gabriel, Mavie Marcos and David Penner. Their blend of soulful, dub-inspired music combines live instruments, stunning vocal performances and emotional electronics.

REINA - If I Close My Eyes Forgive
(www.reinacastle.com , robbins entertainment ) UK
Quality artist-driven commercial dance music is now the exception, not the rule; thus, Reina and Robbins Entertainment (who rescued the budding diva after Strictly Rhythm's implosion) deserve credit for assembling an album of well-conceived songs that match a gifted vocalist with confident, polished productions.

AUBREY - If You Dont Know Me By Now
(www.aubreymusic.com , robbins entertainment ) UK
Why does Aubrey only use one name? Because with the flat-out speed of her astonishing race to the top of the charts, there just wasnt time for two! Her ferocious Groovilicious debut single, Stand Still, written by Aubrey and produced by Remixer of the Year 2001 Grammy Winner, Hex Hector and Dezrok, hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play Chart on October 6, 2001, mere weeks after its release.

... Actually, when was the last Gator home game?

Posted by Scottaculous on Jul-19-2005 19:47:

I know this is a big event but did you not see the rules of this forum?

Posted by Surface Atlanta on Jul-19-2005 20:45:

Chad reposted it after not seeing it in the events page and reposted it to the main message board. He was not aware of the rules as this is the only messege board with rules like this.

I know the rules which is why you dont see my Christopher Lawrence event listing here. If you want to delete the post its all yours.

Sorry.

Looks interesting. Though I must say... if DJ Skribble is trying to get past the epithet of being an mtv dj spinning only rnb and rap dance records he's doing a pretty piss-poor job with it. I wonder if he'll get chanted off stage again. I haven't heard Darude spin in the last two years, so maybe he's gotten past the whole shit stage. I also thought the whole Motorcycle threesome was going to be there. This says only Jes will be there... and we all know she can't sing live. But why not go? Blank & Jones would be fun to see live. And it's pretty cheap

Skribble played in atlanta last friday and that was the first time I have seen him play since... I think 99. Anyway, the last time I saw him he was playing hard trance but since then I must say, his set last week kicked some major ASS!!

He doesnt scratch anymore and is playing some great house/progressive house and even some trance at times.

Make sure you check his set out at the massive.

Hard to imagine him spinning trance though

Still, Blank & Jones, and your sets alone are worth the price. The other acts are sure to be fairly entertaining as well

Rasta

I saw Dj Scribble spin twice in Puerto Rico.

Once at a beach in Guanica, PR.......amazing festival. Open Bar c00rs light from 12pm-6pm, and then open bar liquor (barcardi) from 6pm-12am. Twas beautiful
I remember making out with some chick while it was raining and all of a sudden..........BAAAAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hear some co-ray-zee shit. Some amazing scratching out of nowhere!!!! I totally ditched the bitch and ran off to the stage drunk as fuk! lol. good times

second time i saw him was at Pier 10 in PR.......he spinned a lot of crappy Rap MTV style shit. Nothing like what I heard his first time. So i lost a lot of respect. But jose cuervo was my friend that night and helped me out.

Hopefully he will be good this time around

This will be my schedule:

Ride
03:30-05:00 JONATHAN ALLYN

Stage One
04:35-07:10 BLANK & JONES
07:30-08:40 DJ SKRIBBLE

Stage Two
08:40-10:00 CHARLES FEELGOOD

Behold, my arse.

MANNNN.... I'm gonna miss Darude cause I gotta be there for Blank and Jones....

You should switch Skribble with Darude so the "non trance" crowd can go see Skribble and the trance crowd can see both B&J and Darude... seriously, is a very good idea
