I'm surprised nobody started a thread on this album. I don't have much experience with Techno but as a prog fan this is an awesome introductory mix for techno. The only thing I might complain about is the ending, it kind of just dies off without any outro. Othwerise this album is thoroughly enjoyable.

I hated to see the fact Adam Beyer also jumped on the minimal bandwagon. And I still do.

is that what this cd is was like? i was hoping it was more like that essential underground: stockolm CD1.

It sure shares some elements with that CD, maybe you'll like it, I just don't

This one's just a little more on the minimal side of things.

i prefer my techno a bit more bangin, so i guess the elements it shares are probably the odd bits i dont like from the cd.

Oops I searched before I posted this thread but I guess I must've messed up somehow. Anyhoo I actually expected this to be even more minimal than it is, but then again I am a techno noob.

Same here.. Especially when going out, at home I listen to the odd minimalish sets as well though. Takaaki Itoh for example is capable of throwing down a minimal set I do like.. Which is quite rare.

Would probably be safe to say you wouldn't like this Fabric one either, but of course it's best to give it a listen for yourself.

brilliant buildup beginning with minimal techno in the first half and going to banging tech house after that. Great stuff
