Zabiela + Ableton...

Well shit fuckin A...I just saw the man last night there at Avalon LA.

I have to say James is my favorite DJ now...just an amazing show...amazing mixing...floor destroying beats. The combo of Ableton effects, CDJ scratching, EFX-1000 unit and JZ's overall flow are just incredible.

zabiela is just freaking awesome..id love to see how he manages so many different utilties on a live show..his hands were moving light speed b4 he started using ableton..id love to see him fly now

my brother recommended Live to Zab way back before Sasha even dreamed of touching it. (He used to work @ Eleven50 in Atlanta.) Zab told him he would if he could somehow incorporate scratching into Live. Awesome to see him using it now

I was playing with it earlier...hella fun plug-in

it's an incredibly powerful plug-in, but when it's used too often and too obviously it just makes me smack my forehead. it's like "yeah, it's a nifty tool, but you've let it run on instant reverse for the past eight minutes. turn the damn thing off!"

I was there, insanely off the chain party. My first time seeing Zabiela, while I gained confidence in him as a dj after buying Utilities, last night sealed the deal for me, wow, what a showman. Despite being sick, as he said he was in the west coast scene forums, he was all energetic, jumping around, mixing n scratching like a madman, and doing all sorts of freak nasty stuff w/ the equipment, poor virgin cdjs never had a chance w/ a predator like Zabiela around to turn them inside out. Damn shame. haha, great party, im gonna skip seeing him at Monday Night Social so I can recover my hearing but can't wait for him to come back in town. (Cross fingers for NYE haha).
