U know i have been to MANY trance/music boards and all are very informative and are like small communities.....however i can HONESTLY say that TRANCEADDICT is by far the best..i love it here, but i have been noticing something that is very annoying and weird:

WHY PLEASE TELL ME WHY is it that no matter what someone posts there is ALWAYS one person who has soemthing to say, i dont mean they disagree with you....there is NOTHING wrong with disagreeing with others (i am not talking baout that).....i am talking about putting someone down or saying they are stupid or what have you.....

i NEVER do that to anyone "UNLESS" they do it to me first....i mean i will defend myself but i would never just be rude to someones ideas, thoughts or opinions......so if i have come back at u rudely in anyway..its ONLY cus u did it to me first and i defend myself

I think we all need to be friends here, i am not saying lets go have sleep-overs and shit, or that we all have to agree....in fact i like when people disagree with me, cus then maybe i can see something in a different way, that i hadnt seen before.........i am saying that if we do disagree that we should not be rude about it or ridicule someone for it...maybe either just not post a reply or simply state your opinion in a civilizied manner.......

Yeah agreed. But I always say that if somebody can't get their point across without flaming, they obviously didn't have much of an arguement in the first place. So if you're flamed just take it as confirmation that you're correct.

Oh and the way things are going in the UK forum lately, we probably will be having sleepovers soon

I think constructive arguments are okay, but this is a trancE board, there should be no arguments.

I think there is no point in flaming ppl, just tell them they are wrong if they are and that is that, but if you are wrong just stay away.

There are some people that seams like they doesnt have anything better than going around and making stupid and useles posts. Maybe these people have seen to much of Ricky Lake or Jerry springer, cause there people act in the same way.
We wanna keep the family spirit in here, so the ******s that only bring the forum spirit down can leave in pease or behave.

Yeah, I totally agree there is to much shit here. And it often looks just like I wrote above. There are allways fights. I don't understand why a bad opinion must make a human bad. Why can't we respect eachother for what we are ? I have been attacked several times for no reason at all. And it really hurts when someone calls you idiot or displays , or whatever. It doesn't hurt that much, but sometimes I get surprised. It comes out of nowhere.

We should all think before we post and reply to someone we don't agree with!

I hope we can make things better here!

i am all for arguing. well arguing, not fighting. aslong as u can conduct ur point in an intelligent manor than thats fine, someone who puts there view across, using facts and evidence and has a discussion, not someone whos shouts fuck and abuse everywhere coz u dont agree with them. they just show they have no point at all, hense nothing but abuse. im all for discussions, coz after all, whats the point being here if ur too scared to give ur opinion? its no sin if you dont agree with someone, too many people like to sit and not give there views coz there scared of getting a bad repuatation around the site. theres no point being here if you dont wish to contribute.

But in a lot of posts on this forum I see a lot of unprovaked flaming and its quite sad in a way because we should all act mature, theres a fair bit of flaming that I have to bite my tongue too and theres a lot of arrogence in some threads but luckily most of its nots done by regulars I totally agree with you though tiesto14 theres some bad repilies on these forums, but saying that the people in the Uk forum and stuff like that are pretty close lot and their friendly and a lot of people in the chill out are cool I think most of the flaming on this forum is done by those who are around for a few weeks think they know it all and they have a crack.

Like i said, sharing opinions is cool and argueing even is cool...but smart remarks and flaming is not what this scene is about at all...

Like it or not we are part of the "rave" culture (some people may disagree with that) and we deal with enough crap from people outside the scene, so we dont need it from each other....we are in a sense the same as some of our parents were in the 60s, when they where hippies (if they where) and there music as ours is our love, passion and influence...not are basis to showoff.....

so lets quit that stuff already....and share our ideas....not demean them....

you know what's so funny...I argue with Blik a lot...and when we argue (it can get really rough) I really feel like kicking and punching him...but when we leave it to rest for a couple of days I'll "chat" (you can't really call this chatting ight?) with him again and I don't feel like that at all anymore

So if you read this Blik: to me you are like a shower...when you turn cold I'll scream and yell and be mad/angry..when you turn warm I'll moan and be pleased and I'll be friendly and symapthatic hehehe Nice metaphore eh?

LOL you are true about those arguments but I don't moan

I like discussing things (you all know this allready I think ) and I also like to give my opinion about stuff, and that causes discussion and flames, no harm done, I forget it within a minute, I can argue with someone and then chat with the same person at the same time and laugh about stuff

yeah, but I don't recall that U 2 (I don't know, if U did it in the holland forum...) ever started swearing at each other for these things... I mean, that's a difference, there are ppl on the boards that, although I don't agree with, I do respect for the way they are explaining their point.
vut when some guys starts quoting U with "fuck that!", there's somethin' wrong I guess... anyway, ignorance will either make those ppl stop behaving like that or stop posting. both ways, we get to be happy!
