BUSH: this leak probe is killing us this week. ROVE: i have an

idea. let's select the supreme court nominee and announce it this week. it'll buy us some time and take the probe off the headlines for at least a couple of days. the public and media are idiots. they'll eat it up.

BUSH: Sounds like a good idea.

ROVE: if that doesn't work then maybe we can get into a little conflict somewhere. nothing big. maybe a ground force of 3,000. maybe somwhere in africa. i'll think about it more.

The Rove issue is not a big deal. Apparantly he didn't break the law.

Canada doesn't have an independent Supreme Court. It's full of members of the Liberal Party (including donors to the party). It's also full of extremists and activist judges (like Rosalie Abella).

Also, the Senate doesn't have the right to approve justices, so the PM can pack the court with his extremist cronies with no check on his power.
